People saying this is no different then phones coming with pre installed apps have no idea of Russian history.
This isn’t even true. It’s a blatant lie actually…We get that in America too, when you set up a new iPhone they give you a list of apps if your new to the App Store: Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Twitter, TickTok, YouTube, Microsoft, Tinder, etc. all those are safe non-spying apps and companies right?
Yes China getting brighter every day?Only in the US. Disaster upon disaster. Covid. Fanny Mae. WTC. America just can't handle crises.
In other parts of the world, it gets brighter and brighter.
It always was like that, that's the humanity. Why is the whole world becoming complicit with blatant tyranny?
They'll do anything China demands just to remain in that market. With all the posturing Apple does about human/equal rights and so on, they soon forget their principles where money is involved. This just shows how greedy Apple is, they walk over dead bodies for money.
Because its been demonstrated all over the world you can easily sell oppression under the guise of a "health emergency", so the next step is press the jackboot on the face even harder (on top of the placebo masks the gullible are forced to wear under threat of arrest and persecution otherwise). Why is the whole world becoming complicit with blatant tyranny?
It isn't just US. Here in the UK we have the worst Covid death rate and Brexit. I have friends from many countries, and there seems to be feeling of a downward trend for many.Only in the US. Disaster upon disaster. Covid. Fanny Mae. WTC. America just can't handle crises.

According to local news, all are optional. Can users decline to install all of them? If so, this isn't a problem. If you can't decline to install, that's a problem. If you can't remove specific non-Apple apps, that's a larger problem.
I was mainly alluding to a problem could be the Russian government including a government-backed spyware app on the list of recommended apps that then gets installed. If that can't be removed, it would be a major issue. Given the state of the Russian government, this is a real concern.Really no different than how some Android phones have apps installed you don't want, won't use and can't uninstall. I have run across that in the past few years when I still used Android phones and it is very annoying.
I am not talking about apps needed for the OS / phone functionality - those are fine.
Also, I am not defending what Russia is trying to do. Just pointing out that similar situations occur outside of Russia and the iPhone.
Those are not government mandated. We get that in America too, when you set up a new iPhone they give you a list of apps if your new to the App Store: Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Twitter, TickTok, YouTube, Microsoft, Tinder, etc. all those are safe non-spying apps and companies right?
It's mandatory for all smartphones if you haven't read the article. And many more devices.this means it’s no longer an iPhone.
Yes, and in the U.S. they will call it ‘fariness’. When you turn on your new iPhone or iPad for the first time you will be presented with a screen where you must choose your browser, your email client, your music app, your message app, etc. Apple’s apps will be forced to the bottom of the list so they won’t be prominent and anti-competitive.Cue every other Government jumping on this 'opportunity' now Apple has set a precedent.
Oh, is that why Europe is locking down again because they screwed up the pandemic and the vaccine deployment? I bet things are just rainbows and unicorns in China, right?Only in the US. Disaster upon disaster. Covid. Fanny Mae. WTC. America just can't handle crises.

Citizens of North Korea do not have internet access or smartphones so your question is moot?Who's next after China and Russia? North Korea?
i think there already was a precedent. either saudi arabia or uae.Cue every other Government jumping on this 'opportunity' now Apple has set a precedent.
not if it's preinstalled, duhI'm sure the 'I Love Putin app' will be the most downloaded app now, lmao
