Yosemite is likely to be released more than a month after iOS 8!
Not to mention that some people would like to upgrade their devices at a different pace or even not to upgrade at all.

And what crystal ball have you gleaned this time schedule from? Seems to me Yosemite is on schedule to be release at the same time as IOS8.

Don't think the OP cares why, was simply stating battery life is one of the last things to be resolved and this is par for the course.

The fact that they released Yosemite Beta 6 for developers and didn’t do the same for iOS?
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a simultaneous release.

That is the indicator you are using? The beta versions for two different Operating Systems aren't in sync?. Using that logic OS 10.10 is going to be released before IOS 8?
