I turn it on all the time. This blue graphic wallpaper perfectly fits with my Titanium Blue iPhone 15 Pro Max. In standby mode with always display on, that wallpaper become more dim with those 3D graphic visible only in at the center, rest of the whole screen black, thus taking advantage of OLED display to save the battery life.I have always on turned on - but I turn the wallpaper off. So it just shows time and widgets on a black screen. I have enjoyed having the phone on my desk and being able to glance over to see the notifications and widgets
Same here exactly. I’ve used it since day 1. I like to be able to glance at my phone and see the time without picking it up.Have had mine on every day 24/7 on the iPhone 14 PM and now the 15 PM, it uses such a micro percent of battery due to the screen is at 1%hz
You can manage it with shortcutsIt would be nice to be have AOD on at day time and off at night time.
We are random people, You can show them here 😁On because I have a hot gf and I want to show off our pics to random people.
It kinda already does that. When it's getting late at night, the screen shuts itself all the way off. At least it does for me.It would be nice to be have AOD on at day time and off at night time.
I totally get this. Been on macrumors since early 2000 in college and now in my 40s and yah I'm kinda over the tech stuff and trying to be present. Most of my notifications are in summary now, got rid of my 14 pro AOD and went to 13 mini again. Got rid of my iPad Pro. Trying to use my iPod for music more, less distractions. Even bought a keyfob for my Tesla so I can leave my phone behind. My watch even has message notifications silent. Frankly concentration is better and my mind is clearer. This is why I don't really care about the Vision Pro. Seems like something I would not want in my life.Older thread, but while keeping AOD on for the first few months, I've now turned it off on my 15PM. Maybe as part of "New Years Resolution" energy, or also because I'm now in my 40s and trying to be more present / less phone-addicted, I find the AOD adds to my "constant awareness" of my phone, curiosity on whether I have notifications, etc. That half-second distraction (whether at work or at home), I'm trying to now cut out of my life. This is even with an Apple Watch (and I've had an Apple Watch since Series 2).
I've had AOD off for a week now and I like it much better as part of my lifestyle and how I want my phone to fit into it.
