These M3 MacBook Airs have had a huge number of discounts so soon. A fantastic deal, if you're looking. M2 Air looks even better value.

These laptops in the current economic climate are just not moving. I wonder if the delay in launching ipads is connected to the fear of terrible sales for new models. It could make for disappointing reception for otherwise excellent tablets… that are likely to do exactly the same things as current gen.

I will never pay $49 to BestBuy just to save few bucks, **** BestBuy and their ******** program.

It just depends on what you purchase. I have the total tech which is $179.99 a year in my case it is worth it.

I got $150 off the MacBoook Air 15" M3. The $179.99 covers apple care for two years.
I also dont have to spend any extra this year for my 3 Phones, or 3 ipads, or my 2 apple watches, or my wifes MacBook Pro. I will have to spend $179.99 next year to keep the Apple Care valid.

they sure having a lot of sales lately
This can't be happening without Apple. Probably a way to pretend there aren't any price reductions going on.

Either way if they were moving there wouldn't be any offers.

If these sales are because they're "just not moving" due to the current economic climate, then you'll have to explain to me why there was one sale followed by another and another and another and another and another and another and another and another etc. after the introduction of the M1 Macs back in Nov. 2020.

There was literally a sale the day after the M1 Macs were introduced.

All these sales occurred even though Apple reported a skyrocketing surge in Mac sales

If Mac sales were so strong from late 2020 through 2022, why did we see so many sales during this period? Isn't that counterintuitive?

Do you say the same thing about Costco and Sam's Club membership fees "just to save a few bucks"? No one pays for a Costco membership just to save a few bucks on a pack of toilet paper ONE TIME.

BB's Total membership programs aren't designed for the one-time buyer. I've personally saved over a $1000 on just AppleCare+ memberships for all sorts of Apple gear over the past year. Not to mention extra savings on many items, plus 60 day return privilege.

You sure went through a lot of trouble to prove a point.

The scale and depth of the sale is key. Sometimes companies have sales to steal sales from other companies. Then they have huge sales just to move stock thats not moving.

We would have to really look at the data to know which it is. But the depth (% discount) of the sale at the moment has been huge. Ive never seen so many huge discounts everywhere for a variety of goods. Almost all the companies ive signed up with are bombarding me hard with steep discounts on everything.

And this coincides with a cost of living crisis and historically high interest rates in the west.

This is what the forums are about 😀

Learn something new every day. I thought these forums were about:
  • Praising Apple as God and forsaking all others no matter what, even at our own expense... OR
  • Praising others and putting down Apple no matter what, even against relentless retaliation/defense.
And when hard facts conflict with your stance- whatever it is- pretend they don't exist or move the goal posts ASAP.

And if facts can't be redirected and/or are irrefutable, call the poster of them a troll or other name and attack them personally. ;)

I would think there would be more support here on macrumors for yearly discount fees. I mean, here BestBuy is offering a program that is designed to lock you into their store and the Best Buy ecosystem. Isn't that what everyone thinks is best?

Apple should be embarrassed that you can still buy a MacBook Pro M3 with 8gb of ram, including new from Apple.
But... but... think of the profits! Think of the shareholders!

Nevermind that Apple could equip respectable base specs and not have it blip their bottom line. Or that having customers leave happy (and not grumbling how they settled for too little machine or way overpaid for BTO upgrades) would benefit future sales.

"Every model of the 13-inch MacBook Air" is $150 off, except for models with 16GB of RAM, which are not available at all. So, again, it's actually half the models. Please be more accurate.
yep, these deals are great for casual users. If you need more RAM, then you are screwed paying Apple's high prices. At this point, 16GB should be standard as 512gb for storage for base models. Greed, greed....
