I was wondering what you all thought was best free mac game out there? Clearly this is totally subjective so feel free to list a few in different categories of games.

Random Fun? Scorched3d
Good game in general? EMR3
I'm sure Freespace 2 would be here somewhere, but never played it.

If you like strategy games then you can't go wrong with...

Freeciv is a Civilization clone that plays a lot like Civ2. BfW is a fantasy game that reminds me of Fire Emblem if you happened to have played it on the Game Boy Advance or GameCube -- turn-based tactical unit combat.

Boom.
It's a cross between Bomberman and Doom.

And you can download it, so you can play it without internet access.

I remember playing Boom in the 90's with a mate. It was ace then, I may just have to give it a download...

I'm partial to FreeCol, though I am a developer so I'm biased.

It is a great strategy game about colonizing the new world and then fighting for independence, with a style quite similar to the Civilization games (the original was designed by the same person).

The Mac version has a couple of interface bugs, but is still completely usable.

It has a bit of a learning curve, especially if you never played the original Colonization (like me). But once you get the hang of it, its a great game!

Cube 2 Saerbraten is a Quake style game that is developed for Windows, OS X, and Linux. Its single player is not too great... but the mulitplayer is pretty good. Alot like Quake 3 online play :)

Xmoto is a fun 2d motorcycle game.

VDrift is a decent racing sim for free.

FlightGear is a Great flight Simulator.

Oh my G-d, what have I done? I created a monster by starting this thread and diverted all your attention away from buying my car. But just incase you still want a piece of that M3, it's available here.
