This will be a wikithread listing, in reverse order, the release date of each beta (Developer and public) and public release of each version of iOS 16 (and potentially beyond). Although I am aware of the Wikipedia thread with the release date of each (major, minor and "point" release) version of iOS, that post does not list the date the various betas of each version was released, which is a topic of frequent conversation here.

Color Code:

Public Betas
General Releases

I’m wondering if today is the day beta 2 will be released
I hope so. I was in the Hospital all last week, and was worried I was gonna get behind if the hospital wifi was too slow..didnt bring my laptop or iPad either.

Anyone could‘ve told you that last week is no-beta zone. Your worries were unfounded.

This thread (and especially the first post) serves another useful purpose. It tells you at a glance whether a given public beta has been released. If I want to find out if (for example) ios 16.n PUBLIC beta is released, the only way to do that on this forum is to read EVERY post in the thread to see if someone has posted something like "PB is out". I asked last year if that information could be added to the wiki post (first page for any given ios major version) and my request was dismissed as irrelevant. This thread serves that purpose and I am glad it exists ;)

Thanks for posting this. I was too tired last evening to give the full explanation.

But I give full credit for the idea to @MozMan68. Just wanted to put the timeline in its own place so it would be more accessible. Like you, most will never revisit the first post in a 6,000 post thread.

Would suggest to lock the post for comment and just edit the top og post?

Does anybody know if there are any Twitter accounts to follow that tweet when a public iOS beta is released? Would be good to follow somebody on twitter and set a notification, for when they tweet.
