Oh man. Out of curiosity, as a Subaru owner, was that really the electric motor closing the rear hatch, or did you close it yourself?

It was sitting at the end of the rear roof, at the top of the rear hatch, when I hit the close button and it folded the phone up like a fortune cookie, or a walnut in a nutcracker.

If it had been at the bottom of the rear hatch, with a different fulcrum point, the hatch might have sensed it, halted, and opened back up. But this was all power hatch motor doing it.
