Maybe I am missing something, and excuse me if this has been addressed in this forum before, but how exactly is Dashboard better than Konfabulator? I am talking from a user's perspective. From what I can tell in the Tiger tour video, the widgets only appear when you are in (for lack of an official name) "Dashboard mode", i.e. you punch an F button, the desktop dims and you have the widgets there. Is this correct, or do the widgets actually show up on the desktop all the time? It seems useless to me if they aren't permanent desktop residents. (I also wonder how this would affect widgets like the way Konfab allows you to drag-and-drop stuff onto widgets for purposes such as creating archives etc.)
(All of the above said, the translate-as-you-type widget is pretty nifty )
