I was tricked in to looking at a co-worker's page because she had it up when she asked me a question. I felt like a part of my soul was sucked out through my mouth.

Absolutely Awful.
Was it on a PC? I have seen that happen to people before, sad, very sad.

well, i did it. I deleted my MySpace page. Now i can go from "yes but don't care" to "no, myspace sucks" :)

my current thing is my deviantART site. A lot classier than MySpace, and it doesnt take gigabit internet to load everything on a page :p

My MySpace

I don't use it often, But I often find myself laying them out for other people  It's just boring, I honestly don't understand the point. The forums are crap, the 100s of garbage band requests you get daily is very annoying.

myspace sucks

i can't stand myspace. most of the web pages should be on "web pages that suck", i mean really bad. and i have a cousin of mine, about 19 years old, who is posting pretty much soft porn pictures of herself on the site. also, it seems like the students at my college waste too much time on that infernal myspace site instead of talking to them through other methods or doing homework or studying. i know sometimes you can't have face to face talk, but it just seems like a place for peilophiles, and reveals too much of your info. i don't like just revealing stuff about myself as a form report, so myspace doesn't fit my style. some of my friends have been begging to me to get a myspace, but i don't, it's annoying, and they can im me or email me if they want to talk. and plus, it just risks losing a job because of so many scandalous photos on the site. if i have a myspace, one of my friends must have did it. i refuse to go on that site intentionally.

a side note, i'm hoping to get a personal website up sometime in the next year, preferably by summer's end to make it a bit easier to access me, and to do whatever. what happened to making your own website?

Had one for awhile but deleted it once MySpace got too commercial. I do miss all of the friend invites from the hookers and porn site schills, though. ;)

No Myspace for me. Companies look at that stuff. I don't want to be associated with ****** Web 2.0 programming

that's one of the many reasons why i didn't sign up for myspace. plus, alot of students at my school have gotten in trouble for that site and facebook (which is almost like it, expect better site look and less porn), 49 to be exact for drinking photos. and we only have about 2000 students at our school, plus we can't drink on campus.

if some of my friends made up a fake profile on one of those sites, or if i was framed due to a photo of me on another person's profile, i will confront them to take them off. i don't want to be associated with that type of trash either.

No MySpace for me, thank goodness. I have a REAL web site (or two).

On a more humorous (and foul!) note, read a hilarious story about how MySpace got hit by an awful "hotlinked" picture recently. WARNING: there's a link to a picture in there that's not safe for anyone! Don't click it! The story is funny, though, and you can read it without fear of being blasted by a huge, gaping (you know what). Just don't click the link to the picture. You've been warned. :D

Had a friend convince me to get a MySpace page. Got VERY annoyed by all the spam and other ******** and deleted it. MySpace sucks.

It's a social networking site and I'm not very social.

MySpace is good for free promoting of a movie, band, etc. but I find it flat out useless for personal pages. I use Enter Inside instead because most of us are based in Southern Alberta (If not all of us) so it's more exclusive feeling. (Plus some of the features are dead cool)

mj, am I supposed to not be able to read anything on your page? It's like looking through a dense San Francisco fog. Or maybe that's what MySpace is all about...I think this is the third time I've visited a page there.

Yeah, the girl thing set it up for me. To be honest, it's probably for the best that you can't read it. :p

Call me old fashioned, but I just use blogspot.

Blogspot is far more attractive, you don't have to have the ad at the top flashing away and the garbled mess of a page that is all over the place, even when pro musicians use it who have management and record contracts and all the rest of it.
