thanks, this was an idea i tested out last night. it reduced the number of steps significantly.

If you copy the whole setup directory to ~/setup then it doesn't need to be in a specific place for the install. Just remove it when you are through like you do now. Then you could just run the install from the mounted disk image. You could put an alias to your script in with the setup folder and the readme.

i did figure how to kill processes automatically, by name. so that'll be in there next time too.
