I'm familiar with that, thank you. Machine is not using the latest macOS Big Sur, that's the problem: EFI update is included in 11.6.4, previous buggy version was introduced with 11.3. Machine has arrived with 11.3.1 from the factory with bad EFI preinstalled. Well it's a long story not really related do the discussion.
I could never imagine someone decided to include firmware updates ONLY in Combo Updates ONLY available online ONLY from the machine itself ONLY downloadable onto main partition ONLY installable from OS itself (not Recovery). This is NUTS. For the amount of money Apple charges it doesn't provide you even basic control of your computer.
