I just got one in box. Looks brand new. Any ideas on the value? Plastic has no yellowing.

Looking at similar sold items. Maybe $700-$800 at best with the floppy drive. Mint in box is a whole world different than unopened. You better make sure it works.

It'll probably be worth less locally. Depending on your local market and may take longer to sell. But you'll avoid the huge shipping plus ebay fees and have zero risks of forced returns. Even at $550 to $650 local. You'd be doing better than eBay after you factor in costs.

Still a lot more than one with some wear and no box. Which would be about $200 to $300 in excellent condition with floppy.

Is there any concerns of blown capacitors on this? It is 35 years old. Someone else said I should not test it and sell it as is for this reason. I don’t want to potentially cause damage to the computer or monitor by plugging them in.

Untested is going to really hurt the price. Most people buying locally are going to want to test it.

if the capacitors are dead. it’ll most likely simply not turn on. At least that’s my experience with old computers with dead capacitor. Nothing worse ever happens.

Nope IIe never had a time battery, although I am pretty sure you could add a real time clock with an add-on card.
OMG ThunderClock!
Apple-Cat ][ modem with 212 card by Novation
80 col card with 64K RAM expansion
Mockingboard sound card
Disk ][ controller
NMI switch for boot-tracing w4r3Z!!@#!!!!
+ Massive Corvus 6MB hard drive for the win! (or the Sider @ 10MG and a lot less, a few years after).

^^^ Adjusted for inflation ll of the above clocked in at roughly same price-point as my pretty loaded Mac Pro 2019. Mmmm technology!
