It's still a beta, so it's to be expected that the Feedback App will be there.
Actually, not so much. Usually when the beta requires the entire installer, it's the final beta and feedback app is removed. This is definitely not my first rodeo with this.

I've been doing this for about four years, and the lack of a delta update really doesn't mean anything definitive. Sometimes it means GM build, sometimes it means broken delta update.

Similarly, while on a beta build, you will pretty much always see the Feedback App. The presence of it means nothing other than you're currently on the beta train.

Ok we’re up to beta 7, do we really need to delay the public beta to hours later?

NVM, I just needed more coffee. This is what we in the business call user error.......

My money is on Wed or Thursday this week. Winner winner!
Betas and public releases (of the same iOS version) do not launch in the same week. Next Monday is the earliest now.

I’ve been doing this longer than that. But no sense in arguing.

can only imagine how butter smooth iOS 12.4 is.. still on beta 2 of iOS 13 and its good enough as a daily driver. but 7 betas to iOS 12.4! just wow...

This is why people feel that when they upgrade their phones are slower.. its cuz the major release before has had so many releases and bug fixes and love/tender care.. it has no choice but to feel like a downgrade lol

Except there is something with DP and PB in that the feedback app is tied to the profile being installed with one of them. Can’t remember which one is which at the moment. Either way I would bet this one will become the release version with the same build# (other than the beta distinguishers being removed)

The feedback app is tied directly to the PB profile. The feedback app in the DP is tied to the software version. So whenever apple chooses to remove it from the DP. Which is usually with the full installer near the end of the beta cycle. That’s why I was so shocked to still see it.

Feedback App still there. Interesting.

The presence of the Feedback app is determined by the fact that you would have the beta profile installed on your phone, not by the iOS version you have installed. As long as you have that beta profile installed on your phone, the Feedback app will be there even if you installed a final release version of iOS.

Yeah, this lengthy beta period suggests this will be the last version of iOS 12. Normally, the final versions of an OS are heavily tested because for some phones it will be the last update they ever get, so it needs to be as good as perfect. The famed iOS 10.3.3 had a similar experience.

This is only true for the Public Beta, not Developer Preview.

Betas and public releases (of the same iOS version) have not historically launched in the same week making it unlikely we see a public release before Monday.

Better wording I think.. to avoid confusion about you actually knowing 100% for certain.

On Reddit a user discovered that beta 7 of 12.4 enables a toggle for Daily Cash notifications that will work with Apple Card upon release.

It's true for both.
I’m sorry but it is not. I just removed the beta profile on the DP, restarted the device and the feedback app is still there. I’ve been doing this for over 8 years, I’m aware of how it works. This was first noticed years ago, and is in my post history. Feel free to dig through it.

The reason for why this is the case is rather simple. You can only install the PB via the profile, so the feedback app is tied to the profile. The DP can be installed via ipsw or profile, so the feedback app is tied directly to the software.
