Last year iOS 10 make iPhone 5 unusable, but iP 5s and iP 6 a little bit usable, and this year iOS 11 make iP 5s and iP 6 unusable and SE & 6s a little bit usable. Now it's time to iOS 12, what do you think, iOS 12 make SE & 6s usable or unusable?

*Unusable like iOS performance, multitasking and third party apps startup delay.

My 6, 6s Pluses, iPad Air 2 are still on 10.3.3 where they will stay.

My 7 Plus and iPad Pro 10.5 are on 11.1

Not sure why you’ve got the 6S/SE as “a little bit usable”. I’m using 11.4 on my 6S with no issue around usability or performance. It might not be as quick as an X at opening apps, but I can’t say that it’s any slower than the day I bought it.

I would expect iOS 12 will probably run just fine on my 6S too, if it truly is focussed on bug fixes and performance.

I am scare to update iOS devices after having devices slowed.

Going from iOS 8 to iOS 9 made my iPad Mini 2 unusable, and while iOS 10 has improved on things, it still no where as smooth and solid as iOS 8.

My iPhone 6s Plus that I used to have had lots of bugs with iOS 9, that was fixed with iOS 10, but I was scared to upgrade it to iOS 11.

My current iPhone,128GB SE, is currently on an older iOS 10 version, which has bugs. It is the one that was installed when I purchased the SE, but I am scared to upgrade to iOS 11 do to the issues I have read about.

I am hoping that Apple tries to optimize iOS 12 for older devices, and maybe I might try it, but only after I read plenty of reviews about older devices.

My 6s runs iOS 11 great (well since iOS 11.3 anyway, between the throttling and all the bugs the initial releases of iOS 11 weren’t so good). I won’t install iOS 12 on release day, but I will wait and check out some performance comparisons and then decide. My 5s “iPod” also has iOS 11 and is perfectly useable.

iOS 12 hasn't even been released yet. It's too early to say yes or no. And of course, the betas won't represent how stable iOS 12.0 will actually be.

Yes, I said 6S/SE as “a little bit usable” just for third party apps performance on iOS 11, You can find many videos on YouTube about 6s and SE performance on iOS 10.x.x and iOS 11.x.x especially for third party apps.

Don’t get me wrong, iOS 11 when it first released didn’t perform great on my 6S. I had UI lag and whatnot, but I think that was more down to the OS being buggy than the phone being underpowered for the OS. Runs nicely now, even third party apps.

iOS 11 runs fine on my SE. The only issue I have is that instagram is a bit slow, but since it's just one app I blame it on that app instead of the OS.

That being said, I doubt anything will ever be as slow as iPhone 4S was on iOS 9. You have to try it to understand how bad it is.

I wouldn't, you have to consider it's only the 1st beta.

My SE feels solid, smoother and slightly faster for some apps on iOS 12 beta.
Should i install iOS 12 on my iPhone 6S Plus. It’s on iOS 11 which’s no batter.

I’m hoping big considering how disappointed I’m from iOS 11 :(

I can't say iOS12 b1 has given my iPad Mini 2 a new lease of life, but it's definitely no worse than 11, and the springboard is way more responsive, as is relaunching apps that have already been opened.

Also, I've found it amazingly stable for a b1. So much so that I also installed it on my 12" Pro.

iOS 11 has been good enough on my iPhone 6 that I have no regrets about upgrading the OS.

Definitely. You will forget the nightmare known as iOS 11.

Me too. I am not upgrading my iOS until Apple surpasses iOS 10. iOS 11 is a pretty low bar to clear.

My 6S was fine once I got the battery replaced - it got a 30% speedup in Geekbench and the random pauses I was seeing went away. Don’t blame iOS 11.
