Installed the public beta and my SE feels faster and smoother than on iOS 11, though it was already good before and I never noticed slowdowns besides in the widget panel, but that was already fixed in iOS 11.2.
Apps open faster too.

Not sure if it’s a placebo effect or not, but the frame rate while opening apps at least seems quicker, back to 10.3.3 smoothness in the transitions, so far. I don’t know that any apps are opening quicker, and if they are I am not noticing it.

If they're not your daily drivers you could if you want. If they are your daily drivers I advise against it as it's the early stages of a whole new iOS release.

this is the best first-beta experience i've had on ios; right now, EVERYTHING works. (will give it another point-update or two to screw that up perhaps). but all good here...

No. Well it might be technically possible to revert if Apple hasn’t stopped signing the version you want, but any iCloud backups will not carry over.

Last year iOS 10 make iPhone 5 unusable, but iP 5s and iP 6 a little bit usable, and this year iOS 11 make iP 5s and iP 6 unusable and SE & 6s a little bit usable. Now it's time to iOS 12, what do you think, iOS 12 make SE & 6s usable or unusable?

*Unusable like iOS performance, multitasking and third party apps startup delay.

When thE final version comes out...
Sure....upgrade

Pretty sure that’s inaccurate, but I don’t care enough to really look into it.

What mef613 said.

Just make sure you have a good tethered encrypted backup while on iOS 11. Or do a cloud back up then turn off auto backup so your phone won’t do one while on iOS 12.

You can roll back to the current release version anytime you want. IF you have an iOS 11 backup you will be able to use that file to restore once you’ve reinstalled the current release iOS 11.

However, if your backup was overwritten by a backup while on iOS 12 then it won’t work during restore as it will tell you that backup will only work with iOS 12.

Hence the recommendation to do a tethered backup while on iOS 11. Then continue doing cloud backup for iOS 12. This way you’ll have a backup of each version of iOS.

Honestly then you shouldn’t post. Cause you’re passing bad info.

My current iPhone,128GB SE, is currently on an older iOS 10 version, which has bugs. It is the one that was installed when I purchased the SE, but I am scared to upgrade to iOS 11 do to the issues I have read about.

From my experience, iPhone SE handles iOS 11.4 just fine, but at this point you might also wait a few months until September, as iOS 12 is meant to make all the devices snappier.
