Why jump in the band wagon with this 120hz screens? It makes perfect sense for the Fold with larger screens, I don’t know about iPhones if you really can tell. What developers can do is to stop making “mobile games” just make a full game that’s taylor’d to that system. When I see the word mobile it turns me off.

120hz isn't about games, it's about fluidity across the system and touch responsiveness. Once you have used it for a while, it's jarring to go back to a 60hz decive.

If it causes lag like it does on these android phones I’m sending my 13 pro max back. ?‍♂️

Dave2D shows it happening in his video.

That's not lag, or anything to do with refresh rate, that's Android loading content whilst it scrolls. Similar to the effect on YouTube on Android and iOS.

Like I say after you've used it for a few weeks, you'll not ever want it not on again.

Will we experience the same issues with 120hz iPhones?

Absolutely!!! Out of this universe crazy good.

If we get 120hz lag when first interacting with the screen I’m sending it straight back to Timmy boy 🤦‍♂️ Dave2D mentions it and shows it in his video.☝️
120hz is the first I turn off on my Android devices. The eye candy and wow factor is nice initially however.

I have a iphone 12 and a S21. Battery life will suffer on the pro models. The S21 does and it has the same screen with variable refresh rate. And its not as big a deal as you make it out to be. Its been out for three years. Not new.

Not going to happen LOL. Android devices have always exhibited this “lag”. Navigating around the entire os is so janky.

Honestly, when I compare scrolling on my iPad Pro 2021 with promotion to my iPhone 12 Pro 60hz I don’t see a huge difference. I think I would have to see them side by side to really see the difference.

Slightly off topic. Do any YouTubers get the device sooner than release date ?
They most likely already have it. They normally have it for 2 weeks before their first impressions load of crap video 😂

Never trust any YouTuber, they sign a NDA that tells them what they can and can’t say and when they can say it.

Indeed. But 120 is still 120hz when compared to 60hz , I'd sooner have outrageous screen on time versus smoother scrolling. It's just my strange personal preference 🤣
I want both 😂 pretty sure we’ll be alright, I’m getting 10 hours battery life on my M1 iPad Pro with ProMotion turned on 24/7

I agree. I don't trust any of them, merely wanted to see the colors of the phones.
