I would also recommend getting the 13 PM. I upgraded from a 13 PM to a 14 PM and I really wish I would've just stuck with my 13 and never spent my money on the 14. The 14 series really isn't all that great, and the 13 is really great.
thx - they seem very hard to find!

I would get the cheapest thing you can live with and wait it out. The 14 series isn’t great. It seems that roughly ever second or third year they have a sub-par upgrade.

5s: great
6: bad
6s: fair
7: good
8: great!
X: lots of upgrades but too much too fast and there were bugs
Xs: amazing
11: very good
12: bad
13: best iPhone ever
14: eh

The 15 is expected to be a huge upgrade and solid built. I would get a used Xr for the time being and then upgrade in September.

Agree with the above, just with the qualification that it’s the 13 Pro that’s the GOAT. 120Hz difference cannot be overemphasized.

14PM It's a no-brainer over the 13PM:

- Display 2000 nits
- Camera 48MP
- Dynamic Island
- Always-On display
- More powerful cpu: A16 Bionic 1,882 5,333 GeekBench 5
- Emergency SOS via satellite
- Similar or better battery life

Admittedly, I sold my 13 pro max so I could downsize to a 14 Pro just a two weeks ago.
Within a week I was regretting my decision and returned the 14 Pro and got the Max. Funny enough, the 14 Pro felt denser in my hand than the Max. The weight seems to be distributed more evenly across the max. I always thought I’d have no problem going back to a regular sized phone, but the Max is what I’ll stick with for the foreseeable future. I plan to keep this phone for the next 3 to 4 years too.

I ordered the Max today. Feel I made the right decision. The battery life of the Pro is too poor for me and I think I would have just ended up selling the Pro for the Max if I got it...

Does anybody here use those Magsafe Pop Sockets? Many people recommend them for bigger phones....but they are expensive at £30. Are they worth purchasing?

Where are you looking? £30 for a pop socket is not just expensive, it’s daylight robbery.

I use a MagSafe wallet with a pop socket attached and it’s been awesome, makes the phone almost usable one-handed.

I had the 13 pro, and now the 14 pro max. While I do like the 14 pro max, except no SIM card, they are all basically the same to me, except for a few small things like size, dynamic island, etc. If I had to do it over again, I would have kept my sierra blue 13 pro.

I had a 256 GB Sierra Blue 13 PM and now I have the 14 PM. It was honestly not the best use of my money, but you live and learn. Wish I would've just kept my 13 as there are no major differences in the 2. I do enjoy how bright the phone gets, and the dynamic island is okay, but overall not worth the upgrade

SO what did you decide??
I got the 14 Pro Max
I am liking it but I do prefer the size of the 14 Pro. If the 15 Pro battery is very good, I will just sell my Pro Max and add money to get the 15 Pro. Hopefully my 14 Pro Max will hold value.

Seeing the 15 is only 3 months away you will tank near 40%, a lot to drop in 3 months. Can pick them up now for 40% plus off used.
If you can’t get a full day out of a 14 pro.??

Hopefully they are not going to make the pro, and pro max a little different like they use to with the camera. I’ve heard rumors about that on here.

Yes, but they weren’t always the same. The max camera would have 1 thing extra the regular pro would not have. I remember some people would get the max, even though they wanted the smaller one, because of the camera. Apple did it for quite a few years. Can’t remember what series they were.

The Pro Max is great for battery life, but it’s really uncomfortable to hold with one hand. I got the 14 Pro Max a few days ago and the phone is so heavy that it hurts my hand when I use it for a long time. My hands are small in size so this is probably why. But I do sometimes wish I just went for the regular Pro even though I do really care about battery life 🙃

You have 14 days to swap it for the regular Pro.
