So, with such compact design,
do you feel any insecurity on putting a keyboard cover on the new 2021 mbp?

An idea would be to put it on and off everytime of use, not so practical,
but if it could harm the screen/whole design/enclosure,
maybe it is not such a bad idea.

On some of the reddits, I saw that people were writing that Thule Gauntlet wasn't fitting on the new Macbook 16. It seems to fit quite well, it's just a little tight, but that's maybe a good thing because the previous Macbook flew in my case.

Does anyone have the Waterfield Dash Sleeve? I really like the look of it. However, the description makes it sound like the padding may be thin/minimal.

And how does it differ from the Maxwell Sleeve? This one has more padding? And a magnetic closure?

Update. The case is relatively tight in the area of the zippers. After the Macbook is stored in the case for a long time, you can feel that the rubber around the display seems to stick a little. I don't know if it can cause a problem with rubber peeling out over time.

I contacted Thule and they told me that they will release a new Thule case for the Macbook 14 "and 16" 2021 in late April.

Just an update to my previous post … so contacted Waterfield. The Maxwell has been discontinued. The Dash and Neo are the only available sleeves for the M1 MacBook Pro.

Also, the agent told me that Dash has the most padding of the 3 cases (although it is described as “minimalist”).

ULTRA THIN CLEAR KEYBOARD COVER

Is 1mm thickness in keyboard cover with tpu material a little bit thicker that the desirable thickness?
I guess so.
I read some articles about 0.3, or 0.4 mm of thickness, so I think these ones are better

So I need some suggestions for clear/transparent tpu keyboard covers for macbook pro 16' - 2021 model (A2485), with quality and thickness less than 1mm.
I hope that they exist! (and not only for older/previous mbp models)

I have to remove my 0.18mm thick keyboard cover,
every time I close the screen lid.
Otherwise, when I open the lid, I can see something like stains on the screen.

Is 0.12mm thick keyboard covers, really much better than 0.18mm?

Till then, I have to put the keyboard cover when I start to use my 2021 mbp, and remove it when I finish my work.
:(

Hello, I am looking for a sleeve on Amazon that fits well with the Macbook Pro 14" (2021).

I'd like this one by Tomtoc https://www.amazon.com/tomtoc-Protective-2012-2015-Spill-Resistant-Accessory/dp/B01HCF0XMU for its soft circles inside, but according to some reviews it does not fit 100% with enough room to move around inside. Can anyone confirm?
+1. Have this case for an mbp13 and it is perfect. Would have like the same thing for my mbp14 but want it snug as possible. Let me know if you find a good alternative?

Finally I bought the Tomtoc's sleeve (with accessory pouch included) and I am happy to have found that it fits well, the MacBook Pro 14" does not move and is well protected!

Which model? The one designed for the new 14” or the old 13?

I need a palmrest skin cover, but not the ones from dbrand.
As I see, most of them, hopefully, they use 3M materials, so I suppose they are good ones.
Any suggestion?

I don't have any sleeve or cover for my MBP. Got it a few weeks ago and have travelled from Dublin to Dallas via Atlanta and back, plenty of airport security trays, hotel lobbies etc and no issue. I carry it in a normal Tumi laptop bag which also has my iPad and AirPods Max. I don't think you need cases imho. They're well built and if they pick up the odd nick or light scratch, so be it. I know that's an unusual POV. With my previous MBP I had the Woolnut sleeve which was well made but I stopped using it, I just find it a pain putting it and out of sleeves etc.
