The iPad/MacBook bags from Hard Graft are amazing (though super pricey) but worth it since you can use them for other things as well.

I currently have their Flat Pack for the iPad Air 2, which also fits my 11 inch MacBook Air, along with lots of 45s whenever I go record shopping.

Currently have my eyes on their Travel Pack for my iPad Pro.

Again this is definitely the high end route, but worth it IMO.

I would be interested in this as well, we're you able to find out if the IPP fits, preferably with the smart case or covers.

Thanks!

Nope, didn't buy the bag. But now that it's on sale, i'm tempted to just buy it and try it out. I got my IPP and a case I bought on amazon, the dimensions exceed the 12.25" that it says on the website.

Congrats! I'd be curious to know what you think of it, once it arrives and you begin using it. I was very torn on the color combo - waxed canvas with chocolate leather, or waxed canvas with grizzly leather. In the end, I figured both will look awesome and I just went with my first instinct, which was chocolate leather.

What size bag did you get?

I got the medium sized bag with waxed canvas and grizzley leather. I love the bag! It's much sturdier and higher quality than I had expected. Love everything about it.

I kind of regret not getting the large size though - the medium is a tight fit for my X1 Carbon even though it's supposed to be able to hold a 15" MacBook Pro. Not a big deal though, it *does* fit, along with my iPad Pro and other items/accessories I need to carry, just a little tighter than what I'm used to.

I'm such a fan I'm pretty sure I'm going to order one or two of their duffle bags to match for the gym and weekend travel.

This might sound strange, but I have an extra cintiq companion 2 case from Wacom. The IPP fits perfectly into it. I zip the pencil and adapter into the main pocket with the tablet. The bag has side pockets to hold stuff, I think it's a perfect fit. wacom sells them separately, I got an extra when on of my companions died. image.jpeg image.jpeg

I searched all over for a decent sling messenger bag for the pro, and finally found this one.

http://www.brenthaven.com/products/collins-limited-edition-laptop-sling

I really like it so far...it's about as compact as you can get and still hold a pro with some padding around it. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but the quality seems really nice too (as it should for $99).

I got the Courier version. The sling looks more useful. My only concern is Brenthaven confirmed my Courier is not water resistant. A light rain today had no beading. So they were not kidding. I guess I could try and treat it.

Picked up https://www.incase.com/shop/bags/incase-sling-sleeve-for-macbook-pro-13/black/ about a month ago; it's a very good size that leaves enough room to comfortably fit a few extra items or accessories with you at all times. My favorite part is that the handles, zippers and sling rings can all be hidden away so it can convert into a shoulder bag or more of a suitcase as necessary. It's definitely not fancy nor expensive but it fits my needs really well.

Although not technically a messenger bag, I recently picked up the Waterfield Designs Bolt Briefcase, and it's gorgeous. The "medium" bag easily holds the IPP in the laptop compartment.

It comes with a shoulder strap (in addition to its handles) so it can be slung over the shoulder or across the body, messenger-style.

I'd recommend taking a look - it's beautiful, extremely well-made just like all other Waterfield products, and highly functional, to boot.

Just ordered this!

There's a new bag on the water field front page--secret and unreleased as of yet, but looks like a messenger with a leather flap and a military buckle. Waiting on that one.

SF Bags just released their new messenger bag. It's freaking BEAUTIFUL! Too bad I already ordered the Bolt briefcase, but I ordered the medium which can fit my 15" MacBook Pro Retina if I want to take that instead at times. Their new bag only fits iPad Pro or 13" MacBook Pro Retina. Which is fantastic if you have those products. IMO it's going to be a hot seller. The best messenger bag I've seen yet.
