I just thought I'd add my collection to the forum.
To keep numbers down, I thought I'd collect the interesting ones introduced for each year ;-)

Notice some of my machines are out on long term loan. I hate seeing these machines not being used, so I lend them out to people who will find a use for them (in their retirement years).

BTW: Is there anyone else collecting Macs in the UK on this forum?

Room is getting a bit tight, luckily I'm finding hiding places all over the house. So far none have been found by the other half ;-)

Mine is a 190cs, I got rid of the 540 earlier this year for that very reason.

WOW! And I though having a Macintosh Portable (original, not backlit) and a PB 145B was cool. I started with a Performa 6320CD which got me through college - I loved that machine (TV tuner card was great fun). I've also been through about 5 or 6 G3's. Wish I hadn't sold them all now.

Yeah thats the "MOOF" watch, moof is the famus "Dog Cow", a favorite of the Vintage Mac/Apple People, there is a great deal of information on *Google* of this...

I've been using a mac since I was li'l. I can't remember the name of my first one, but it had a CD Rom that had to use a disc caddy instead of a tray. It was a pain. Then I got a performa, and then a used Bondi iMac on eBay, and then an eMac, and now I've been saving for a Powerbook. It'll take forever cuz I'm only 15 and I don't have a job . It gives me something to loo foreward to though

It also crashes if I hang something onto the SCSI bus..

That's Claris, the dog-cow. Yes, it is an Apple watch- it says so right on the back.

Yeah, my 20th works, but it doesn't have the radio tuner. It doesn't have the dreaded buzzing, either, thankfully Mine has 64megs RAM (hard to find the RAM over here), the HD is stock and the OS is 9. I use it mostly for iTunes as a jukebox and to upload things to my Newton. It also just looks good sitting there

Oh sorry, you meant my Portable.
Yes, but it's not very healthy. Here's a small video clip of it running: Macintosh Portable. It runs OS 6.0.8 with 1meg of RAM It's like an old car where I have to keep trying to start it up. After a while it begins to work OK but crashes sometimes for no apparent reason.

A lot of prototype and test Pippin units have been on eBay recently (thanks Andrew!) from Katzmedia who where a Pippin developer just as the machine was cancelled. I already have have three Pippin units (two white and boxed, one black, unboxed) and also recently bought some Pippin parts, chassis, ROM chipset, rare test grey case parts etc.
I have managed to source some games also, Racing Days R, Shockwave Assault, Teabreak amongst them. Some of the items can be seen at:

I could probably take some photos if you are interested? The casing is a standard Pippin design in a similar colour to the Japanese units but slightly more beige. The Pippin boots into a stripped down version of os 7.1 and will therefore run standard Mac games. I have been reliving my youth of late & playing Wolfenstein 3d on it, which is still pretty cool. The Pippin has an additional 8mb of prototype Apple branded ram installed and is sitting on a prototype floppy drive. I have also have an external cd rom drive connected via the rear SCSI port (the hard drive takes up the space internally where the production cd drive should go) I have daisy chained a powerbook 520c to this which means I can run the Pippin OS on the Powerbook and vice versa.

It was! haven't done anything with them yet, still under my desk in work!
Will post some pics during the break next to the black version. Also when I bought the black one, I got a memory module (plugs in the base of the Pippin)with it, the max I have seen recorded is 8mb, the label states that this one is 16mb and at a time when the max Sony had was 1mb.

Anybody else heard of this size of memory module before? can't find any info it.
