Hey guys. My 11 pro is just over a year old and battery is down to 86%. Between work and personal use.
I’m happy with the phone for now, but would Apple put new battery under warranty? Just looking at my options. Also, considering 12 pro. Haven’t decided yet.

I just sold my 11Pro after a year and the battery health was 88%. I know there are charging methods you could use to slow the decline of the battery, something like keeping the charge between 30%-80%.

Apple will not replace under warranty. I believe it has to drop below 80% in the first year for that. They will replace for $69 though.

I do not ever recall checking this, prior to now. Currently at 99%. And, have had my device since release (iPhone 11 Pro Max).
When I go to bed, if the battery is not below 75%, I do not place it on my wireless charger...

Apple won't replace the battery unless it get to or below 80% under warranty depending on where you're located and if you have Applecare+

Don’t fast charge, don’t charge wirelessly, don’t let your battery drain to below 20% and don’t let it sit at 100% full for long periods of time.

If you follow this your batteries will last twice as long.

Hmm, "don't charge wirelessly". Interesting...

Your mileage may vary - I do all of these things, except let it go below 20%, and my battery health is still 99% (launch day device). I’m always on a wireless charger while working M-F and overnight.

My close to launch iPhone 11 is still at 100%. I basically only wireless charge at night but I dont let my battery drop below 20-30% usually. also if I dont use it much during the day I wont charge it at night (like if its still above 70%)

To me that seems really low

I had my 11 Pro for 10 months, and it was at 100 when I sold it.

Optimized battery charging was on, typically kept it between 40-80, but overnight would be 100, wireless charged it

After one year you shouldn’t be that low imho. At 84 health you’re gonna start getting “service your battery” notifications

Yeah, I think wireless charging is actually better than most wired charging (slower and therefore cooler)...short of using the old school 5W brick which are super slow.

Remember, slower charging and cooler temps keep the battery happy and healthy.

I still have my XS Max and after two years it still has 90% health.
I always charge it overnight and whenever I am in office.

So it's a bit low for your after just one year.

Ya mines at 88%. I have never had one go this much. I noticed it went down faster when iOS 14 was installed. ( i also did iOS 14 beta for months) I do fast charge tho and it does get hot.

13 months old 11 pro.
That can’t be possible at 13 months old?! Aging makes it go down, it’s 13 months old!!! What would you say, almost 400 charge cycles done. Please, some battery technician tell me how this is possible at 13 months old?

His battery probably had above the normal mAH. My 2018 iPad Pro battery had 15%+ more capacity(Apple states 9,720 mAH but my iPad had 10,070 mAH), so it’s at 100% health and yet capacity it is still 6% higher than what Apple states as the mAH in the battery after 2 years.

I had a iPhone X that I hit at launch. I made it 12 months before it went down to 99%. I wouldn’t let the phone go under 50% charge and I would unplug the phone as soon as it hit 100%. Used 5w standard brick and a little bit of wireless charging.

Did you never charge overnight?

How are you all not letting it sit at 100%? Do you not charge overnight?
