Oh yes, I remember reading about your losses. I'm so happy you are getting a little one. She is just adorable.
Isn't it incredible how love is re-generative? Just when you think you cannot endure the pain, it is possible to overcome grief and find love all over again.

Congrats!:D
Thanks! It's been rough, but I always make sure to prepare myself to know it can happen at any time. When it does, I'm always ready to bring another in because the years of happiness you get with them outweighs the bad of losing them. On top of that, so many animals need a good place to call home, so I want to help as many as I can. Funny enough, my favorite holiday is Christmas, and little Dakota was born on 12/25/22.

For @mollyc who wanted some images of the Boof. A few from some recent urban and rural explorations we have had.

Fenna was in training as my Assistance Animal for my CPTSD, but failed the PAT (Public Access Test) twice on the distraction challenges! She's such a social creature, and always has been since I got her as a young pup. She was trained to task for my particular needs, which she does in spades, but legally just can't go everywhere I go.

That was a HUGE A-ha moment for me, as it cemented the concept of photographing from the darker side of the character/individual to highlight their form perfectly! Something I understood from a still-life and product perspective, but for whatever reason never put two and two together to translate that to portraiture. 🤭

I am in the process of adopting my 6th cat (2 of them will be moving out when my partner moves). This is number 5, Pharaoh. His ears are damaged by frostbite, he gives kisses, and he makes the best biscuits. He loves belly rubs and will make air biscuits when you rub his belly.

This is Namid! He’s about a year old and my family is his forever hospice home as of today. He has an inoperable growth above his upper palate but so far it does not cause him problems. He wasn’t even home an hour before he took his place upon his throne, as seen here.
