This is with Suddenlink. I pay $75/mo for 107/10. The fastest I've gotten is about 70 down, but that is off peak hours.

I was paying the same for Vyve in another part of the state for 10/2 but was regularly getting <1mbps down, so I can't complain.

All sweet, using an outfit called 3BB here in Thailand; getting better than the advertised basic 10Mb/s down & 0.56 Mb/s up package, unlimited data @ 650 baht ($US 18.50) a month.

Fibre was installed in the neighbourhood a few months back, and I have copper to my apartment. For twice the price I could get fibre to my apartment and 30 Mb/s down & 3 Mb/s up….. but I am happy with what I have, and pleased to see a company delivering what it advertises.

Prior to that I was using a so called 3G mobile broadband service, which was advertised to provide up to 7.2 Mb/sec up and down, but seldom delivered more than 5% of that.

My connection died in the process of doing the test. Thats what you get for $45 a month with Clear. Less than 1mb up and down when it does work.

Canada is my city
My horrible Internet in the monopolistic country of Canada. :(

New Internet! :D 4x the download speed (for now, it stays at about 15-20, but hopefully it'll go up), and 10x the upload speed (very important for YT video uploads!). I'm so happy right now.

"Faster than 82% of Canada" I feel really bad for all the people who have no choice but to get slow Internet because good one is overpriced as **** :(.

Was getting 5-7Mb until my switch was completed today. It was painful. My cellular data was faster than my home broadband.

Ooh, this thread. TIME TO BRAG!

If I wanted to really rub it in, I'd mention that this isn't my top speed. My ISP doesn't offer 100/100 anymore. If it weren't for the fact my old router is limiting my speed, I'd be getting the full on 250/250 they're giving me.

No one likes a show off, Sandbox.

Just trying to mitigate expectations is all. :D

Ahhh, don't be. It's not my home connection, but my office connection. I love fiber.

Same here. The best part about it is that I'm not paying anymore than what I was when I first hopped on it three years ago at 25Mbps. They've been doubling my connection speed every year I've had them. I even have access to gigabit as of 6 months ago, though it costs $130 a month to subscribe to.

It's not bad for a little podunk town out in the middle of rural north Georgia.

That's pretty good still. At home all I get is 60 down and 4 up. o_O But its fast enough to do all I want and have to pay $59.99 per month for it.

Yeah. No matter how hard I tried, I just can't justify going full gigabit. I mean sure, it'd be nice to be able to download uncompressed 60 FPS 4k video in under a minute, but ultimately I'd be paying a lot of money just bragging rights.

...life is tragic.

Still sweet; Recently paid 3BB about 7,000 baht / $US 200 in advance for their basic service of 10 Mb/s down, and 0.56 Mb/s up for a second year of service.

Works out at 580 baht / $US 16.40 a month….. Well pleased!

What we need to see is your connection speed to a server across the country, not to your ISP that's down the street ;)

Aww. The provider in my area offers 100/20 as the slowest plan (although there are still a number of users on a legacy 30/10 service). 200/200 is offered here, and rumour has it that 1000/500 should be available by the end of the year.

Of course, the problem with fast speeds is that often the server at the other end can't keep up. Sony, take a bow!

Not too bad. Ping is probably limited as am currently going Wireless to an old Airport Extreme which goes to a gigabit switch which goes to a MoCA bridge back to be router which then goes back to the ONT over coax. Need to move to a straight RJ45 connection to the ONT in the basement and then a switch in the basement feeding Cat6 to each room instead. Can go up easily on FiOS, but paying for 75/75 right now.
