I can't complain.

I just got upgraded by TWC to 300 Mbps my maximum speed at home has been 352 Mbps with a 20 Mbps upload. My wife on the other hand works for a telecom company that provides Internet to Internet Service Providers (Comcast, TWC, WOW, etc.) She was telling me that she has seen download and upload speeds of 2 Tbps. That's crazy fast. Of course this was an in-house connection, OC transmission rates aren't that high yet. Capture.PNG

Fast.com speed difference from speedtest is almost 300mbps for me. I'm getting 910 on fast and speedtest 614. Hmm...

Edit - the above numbers are from my Dell laptop.

On my Macbook Air with Thunderbolt to Gigabit I'm getting 710 on Fast and 435 on speedtest, so still a big discrepancy.

Edit 2 - In case anybody is wondering I am at a University.

Nothing flash, but more than adequate for my needs. Given that I pay 7,000 baht (about $US 200.00) a year for 10 Mb/sec down & 0.5 Mb/sec up, I am well pleased.

Until they strung fibre around the neighbourhood (and wire to my apartment) a couple of years ago, I was lucky to get 0.25 Mb/sec down and up using a so called 3G wireless connection, which cost about the same.

Ten years ago I had no internet connection at all at home, and it was kinda slow at work; still is!

Without me clicking back multiple pages to see...Does anyone on here have Cox Gigablast internet in the Phoenix/Chandler area? I just upgraded to it, actually its being installed as I type and I'm wondering how it will be? I could just wait the 3-5hrs they said it will take to install but I am anxious! :D

I hate all you people !! Can you please start posting your service provider....

Lived in Boston was getting 50-100 MBS For $100 including tv. Now In CT get 25 Mbs for $30 a month. You can only get comcast here or AT&T. AT&T sucks big time..... its $40 for 6 MBS a month...... + you have to have a phone line with them.....

those getting 300+ ...... makes me crazy hateful. CT tho is trying to set up their own gigabit service but Comcast is Cbing that Idea.
