So why have the other one? I don't get it.
Because I like purple!

What a find! possibly one of the rarest sealed bands you could hope for.

Be careful with it, many band folk report that, like real grapes, if you break the seal and leave it out, it'll go bad and colors will fade! I can't attest to that as I've only ever had a used one.

Wish I knew that when I bought one right before it went EOL (and have used it at times off and on for years)

So I actually have both a very lightly used Hyper Grape and a "bruised" one. You can see the difference, but without the side by side, it's not as evident. The colors on the new one just look a lot fresher.

(The smaller 40mm is the used one.)

Im kind of over Ultra Violet actually. I mean sure, it's "rare" but really that just means expensive. There's a ton out there on resell markets.

Personally I don't care for sealed bands, either. There's no point in having (or especially paying extra for) sealed bands you won't wear.
A reseller in the UK had about 30 of them (unboxed) a while back. I think that pretty much killed the desirably of it over here.

Yeah same exact thing happened with Marine Green too right? I remember it being almost unfindable then someone in the UK ended up with like 25 or so. Now all the collectors who wanted one have one, and it's only going for $30-40ish on resell.

Yep. Happened with a few older ones, even some harder to find Nikes. I think the fabled Boney Nike is the only one that hasn't popped up in mass now!

This is the band I wore every day for 4+ years on my S4 until I got the Ultra 2. Love it to death but mine is closer to "Hyper Raisin" at this point.

I bet that would clean up. I got a pretty gnarly stain out of my celestial teal - a couple short rounds in my ultrasonic and then threw it in the washer with just a little laundry detergent.

The ‘raisin’ might need a little more attention but I like your chances.

This thing is roached... I had no idea this was a rare or desired band. I just knew I loved it and it was comfy.
I actually really love this. Deciding whether or not to trash a band shouldn't come from its rarity, rather how much you love it. I'm glad there are people out there who feel no need to keep it locked up in a cabinet!

Looks great!

Haha, thanks. I may try and clean it up a bit for the first time ever... I remember a couple years ago I started looking for a replacement but I actually liked how it looked all faded with the green less noticeable.

Changed my mind and got this bad boy which I finally found tonight(Dark Cherry Leather Link). No idea of it's rarity (and after reading through this thread and some of the insanely cool and obviously rare, even one-offs I highly doubt it's worthiness here) but I only wore it a couple times then packed it away and kept rocking my Hyper Raisin.

I am digging it on my Ultra 2 though...

I know the leather links are pretty good at holding together, but I'd be afraid of it poppin off my ultra / wrist to be honest :D

It feels pretty secure, but after sleeping in it I have switched back to my Alpine Loop for daily wear. I am either working from home in super casual clothes or I am out on business trips in a suit, so the leather bands are getting reserved for when I actually maybe have a button down or belt or even jeans lol.

I really love the Alpine Loop way more than I thought I would after 4 solid years of the old "Hyper Raisin." I didn't think I would want anything different than a sport loop for daily wear, but I have been proven wrong.
