I just ordered some Rinogear 49mm from their site. They have them on Amazon but they might not be here in time for 9-23.

They are wet install. I have been using them on all our watches. They’re fantastic.

I want to protect my investment.
Kind of a bummer. Mine have not shipped yet. I ordered on 9-10. I have emailed them and didn’t really get a good answer. Sucks.

However, I had a 3D model made from that thread and it looks like the 45mm protector will be good until the new ones arrive.

I ordered from Rinogear as well. Got a ship notification with tracking number back on the 12th. It still shows as USPS waiting for the package from the shipper.

I've emailed Rinogear as well as sent them messages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. No response.

I'm going to file a charge back with my credit card company.

Same here. I think they are completely overwhelmed with orders.

I ordered the glass from Amazon and it arrived 2 days ago. Will be installing it tomorrow once the watch arrives. I went with glass as the plastic films always fell off after a few runs with long sleeves on. But again, those were on the S4 with a curved screen. I bet any film will adhere better with the flat screen.

Why would you need one?
For me the whole point of getting stainless steel watch over the cheaper ones is that you don’t need a screen protector. The ultra should be even less needing of one.
I agree. I just sold my stainless steel s4 from 2018 with not a mark on that display. My series 7 from last year is perfect too. And I just picked up my ultra and don’t plan on putting one on there too. That sapphire is durable and very scratch resistant.

Great thread, thank you. I always have worn a screen protector on my Apple watches. Prevents dings, scratches and you cant even notice it's on.
I see you have the same s7 as me. I bet you’d be surprised at how well the sapphire displays are. My old s4 is perfect and I just sold it. My s7 is too. I be my ultra will hold up just as well. All watches been banged and scraped on all sorts of things. Not a single mark on any of apples sapphire displays. Now the aluminum yes you need a screen protector if you care about scratches for sure.

I remain exceptionally dubious about screen protectors for this watch, but then I can’t stand them on phones either, if they don’t bother you then absolute correct with the “why not” comments. That said, with the number now interested and the comments here, I have ordered one.
Went for a Matt ultraskin as from OP initial post. Not sure matt was the right call though, anyone used Matt on an Apple Watch before?
You’re right. I do use them on my phone bc AppleCare doesn’t cover scratches and I don’t like scratches, but on my SS Apple watches no. The sapphire is so good it defeats paying all that extra money. I got rid of my s4 last week with a perfect display, my series 7 is still perfect to this day, and I bet my new ultra sapphire will hold up just as well as all my other stainless steel watches have.

I have managed to scratch screens on a couple of my previous stainless steel watches. Usually happens at work when lifting and carrying equipment. Bangs against concrete walls, occasionally and accidentally dragging the watch's face along concrete walls, stair railings, server racks, etc..

FYI. I used a 44mm rinogear screen protector and it fit. It is good enough to keep my sanity in check until the 49mm’s arrive. Sometime.

I ordered more from Amazon too.

I probably should just cancel my order too.

Here is mine. From Amazon…
I like the glass. Feels smooth and has oleophobic coating.

Nothing is moving from Rinogear. I ordered through Amazon.
The halved their price. Yet AFAIK they haven’t shipped any orders.

I canceled by reaching out to Amazon’s customer service via web chat. They refunded the order and said if it ends up shipping I can keep the product.

Same. Got a refund as well BUT, it ended up shipping out today. Still receiving it despite the refund. I actually ordered the Spigen EZ fit as a replacement thinking they were never coming (Rinogear). Spigen shipped and suppose to be here on the 1st.

I got this one 3 Pack Tempered Glass Screen Protector Compatible with Apple Watch Ultra 49mm (2022 Release), Anti-Scratch Waterproof Bubble-Free HD 9H Clear Film Compatible for Apple Watch Ultra Tempered Glass Screen Protector https://www.amazon.com/SWUU-Compatible-Anti-Scratch-Bubble-Free-Transparency/dp/B0BCHS4V69

You can tell it has rather poor fit but no issues with sensitivity.

It is cheap and good enough till I get my spigen set in two weeks.

My cancelled order shipped today. And my pack from Amazon will be here 10-1. 🤷‍♂️

Anyone else with a tempered glass protector having weird touch issues?

It's most noticeable when entering my pin code. Tapping the numbers half the time registers a different number.
