Iphone SE2s were given away for 1 yen or so through several carriers. It seems that the elderly with older handsets were the main targets.. but some people would just sign up to get the free phone and then sell through second-hand channels.

You can find pretty much new SE2s for 25,000-30,000yen as a result.

Not just Japan, also Korea as well. Reason is because the dust in the air is coming from China and it's very bad so most people were recommended to wear masks when they are outside to prevent breathing in them.
