Won’t be much weight difference between mini and 11 pro, not enough to worry about, think you will be out of luck.

Hope that the smaller size, one less camera and aluminium give a fewer grams.

11P is 188 g
SE2020 is 148 g

Hope the 12M is +/- 160 g

Tomorrow will see!

I traded my XS for my 2020 SE. I love everything about the phone except the battery life. I will be keeping it as a backup and getting a 12 Pro for myself and a 12 for my daughter. I’m hoping preorders start this week.

I hope the 5.4" has XR/11 level battery life. That would be great
Being its' size between iphone 5 and iphone 8 - i highly doubt that there will be a big battery. I think it will be more or less the same as SE2020. Like a day usage and that is it.

Any place but here or there....
Probably not, despite our wireless connectivity taking a major dive a month ago, after a Verizon tech was working outside of our house. I dislike the notch and can deal with the 2020 SE battery since I am working from home.

Now that you can use the cellular watch as a phone though, I am more tempted to buy an Apple Watch SE and 2020 iPad Air instead.

My family got me the SE because I was having neurological problems and kept dropping my 11Pro. They figured smaller, lighter and cheaper was less nerve wracking to keep on me. The mini remains small and light. If it comes with the new rumored stronger glass that may help balance out the fact it’s more expensive than the SE2.

Do you even know the difference between on a carrier plan vs outright purchasing?

I appreciate your assumptiveness and to answer your question of course I do.

With this device - I only paid taxes on the $250 upfront to get the phone in my hand and leave the store.

Two weeks later, I called ATT and paid the full $250 and am no longer subject to any carrier financing whatsoever and the phone is unlocked.

Your post above didn't show even the slightest hint that you did know. We're not mind readers. If you want us to know that you understand something, you have to let us know.

why don’t you expand since I already have.

I paid for the phone outright after paying taxes on the discounted price.

I don’t have monthly installments.

I have an unlocked phone that has radios compatible with every carrier since it’s a universal model. I have no contractual or financial commitments. I even got the activation fee waived.

help me out here with how I’m on carrier financing when I am objectively not.

Frankly - This is an absurd conversation to be having. I could be on installments plans but I opted not to be, I opted out before I even got my first installment in fact. I also didn’t have to convince any att rep to pay outright or jump through loopholes, I just gave them a call and did it with no resistance and I got $200 off MSRP for doing so at launch no less.

also to others who aren’t just on a railroading pursuit, who have an se2020- what are ya thinking upgrade wise?

I’m not. I’m happy with the SE so far. I’d like the better camera and battery but I can wait for now. I just upgraded from the 6s and the camera on the SE is pretty good.
The other thing is I’m waiting for the 5G antenna and battery life to mature more and get some real world use and for Touch ID to come back.

Your price comparison makes sense. At least for US. I also got it for $250 and considering this to be a price of a phone for myself, even though i am tied to the carrier for 6 months. But with living in US i am anyway urged to have a some sort of a sim card and i will pay this $30 anyway even with unlocked $400 SE from Apple.

Price difference is crazy with this line-up. Like if you want 128gb then price goes to the next tier Iphone.
I am personally not going to change my blazing fast checkouts with Apple pay in my daily life with SE's touch id.
And as you said, $250 vs $729 is a big difference, which will serve better at buying laptop this year.
===========
Forgot to mention that i am tired of a brick design from my previous SE1.

I purchased the SE2020 as a quick intermediate phone when the FaceId and part of the touch screen stopped working on my XS. I want to see what early reviews have to say about the performance, but so far the report about poor battery performance on the 12 mini has me leaning towards the 12 6.1. The battery on my SE2020 has just sucked since iOS updates.

Man this is getting tough

I can trade in se2020 for $700-800 in credit for a 30 month plan on att. Not going anywhere service wise so not a huge commitment

You getting one?

I think yes, but the regular 12 (non pro) is tempting, is lighter and a bit thinner that the 11P and I liked the 11P screen...

Yesterday I sold my old SE (2016) and man, that size and weight... is perfect...
