Upgrade to a iPhone 12 series or 13 with the Qualcomm modem you’ll get better reception and speedsSo apparently the problem is my location. The big numbers were at my office. The rest of them are at home.
It’s a 13Upgrade to a iPhone 12 series or 13 with the Qualcomm modem you’ll get better reception and speeds
Verizon made me an offer I couldn’t refuse to upgrade & happy to say the 13PM has improved my connectivity.
At my place of work.
That’s Thanks to the Qualcomm Modem apple is now using. That XS series with the crappy intel modems were the worst.Verizon made me an offer I couldn’t refuse to upgrade & happy to say the 13PM has improved my connectivity.

Keep in mind that Verizon is starting to prioritize 5G over 4G LTE. So traffic over the "slower" is affected.I’m constantly having slow internet with Verizon Xs Max. Places where I never had issues before are now having super slow speeds. Phone can show full signal & it’ll get 1mbs download.
Sometimes I can turn airplane mode on/off & it’ll get better. Not sure if it’s a Verizon issue or phone issue.
Yeah the connectivity & speed is now way better even inside my workplace. That’s Thanks to the Qualcomm Modem apple is now using. That XS series with the crappy intel modems were the worst.
I felt that was the case as my speeds started getting slower since 5g was introducedKeep in mind that Verizon is starting to prioritize 5G over 4G LTE. So traffic over the "slower" is affected.

Verizon is having issues with their network as they are working to move their spectrum and capacity between LTE and 5G.13PM - Comments on Verizon Wireless connectivity:
My connectivity speed differs so WILDLY from one place to another that I don't know how I could ever make a conclusion on it. Where I live I get 3-4 bars of LTE. If I walk out my front door and walk half a block to a block away, I've got max 5g. However, just because I have good reception on 5G doesn't mean much, latency is extremely poor and I can sit there waiting for pages to load whereas if I turn off 5G, LTE will load them near instantly. Now, sometimes I'll have UW and yeah it's fast but a lot of the time the latency is so poor that pages won't load and apps think they don't have reception.
I have not been very impressed with 5G or UW. Granted, it's improving... Before, I could sit in my car with max 5G and not be able to do a thing (pages wouldn't load). It's better now but there's still pockets of dead to slow 5G. I have a feeling Verizon new LTE was almost as good so they didn't rush to make 5G much better or as widespread before they announced it.
Agreed with the other posters here... The intel modem on the XS Max was a big motivator for us to move on a year later to the next iPhone lol. It wasn't great.
I have noticed my 5g service being better more often. Glad they’re getting their act together.Keep in mind that Verizon is starting to prioritize 5G over 4G LTE. So traffic over the "slower" is affected.
It'll take a while thou. Verizon is going thru what AT&T did when going from 2G/EDGE to 3G/UMTS-HSPA.I have noticed my 5g service being better more often. Glad they’re getting their act together.
VPN will not affect speeds to and from the tower. VPN is just a tunneling protocol.Make sure you dont have a VPN turned on in the background.
