iPad spirit jailbreak out!

Spirit keeps a spinning pinwheel, never actually jailbreaks my iPad... tried twice

I've never JBroken my iphones, but am tempted to do so with the ipad. I run win7x64 though... I do have an old macbook I keep around for OS X testing, perhaps I should use that instead. Is there any kind of walkthrough for noobs like me?

You literally just plug the iPad in and click jailbreak. It doesn't even have to be in a restore mode. Super easy jailbreak!

Does anybody know if there's suppose to be an ipad section only in Cydia or not?

Error code on Win7 64bit unfortunately.. luckily I do have access to a Mac in a while to get it done..

Run it in win98 compatibility mode.

Backgrounder is why I'm doing it. Dn't want to wait until the Fall to run stuff in background.

An app called backgrounder does multitasking. That's why i did it. I've been waiting to be able to use iheartradio while using safari. Now I can. But to answer your question, for the most part, yes. But there are a lot of useful apps on cydia that can't be in the appstore.

well ya, that was easy (win98 compat. mode worked fine on win7x64, failed using winxpsp2 compat. mode)

on a mac os 10.6.3 it won't work... Spirit pinwheel keeps spinning, iPad says Restore in Progress. Any help??

It's 100% valid are you sure you typed it in right?

I just jailbroke my 3GS iPhone and wow was that easy! Holy crap...easiest jailbreak I've ever done! Now for the iPad!

I jailbroke, then the first thing I tried to install was SBSettings. My iPad restarted, and was broken. It had the iPhone UI on my iPad, and I couldn't use the touch screen. Just had to restore.

I think I'll wait a little longer before jailbreaking again lol.
