Ok, so I caved at my Brother-in-Law's urging and purchased. I feel like a sell-out, but it's such a fun game. I haven't cracked open the campaign yet.

I like what the people in Hawaii said.

It IS GAMBLING because you do not know what you are buying ahead of time. What you are buying is a randomized item. You may get what you want, you may not. Hey if you didn't, try again...

It would be alright if you knew ahead what you are buying (in-game transactions) plus what you are buying really doesn't give you any advantage over someone else (like the cars in Rocket League - they seem to handle differently but you can win with any car if you know how to use and provision it with what you get in-game).

The ones who didn't want the product/service being sold would have chosen not to buy it. If banned, what of those who did want to buy it?

The product should succeed/fail on their own merits and shortcomings. IMHO

Well they Aren’t talking about banning the game. Just classifications if the micro transactions. Not to say that you can’t play or own the game. But, I think this negative press will stop EA from rolling out play to win MicroT’s.

One guy was saying that these MT’s should get the Adult rating. Meaning little kids should buy or play and can’t buy from retailers unless 18....sounds fair to me. It’s what we would do with porn and gambling irl.

I'm not ordering it. The graphics look great, don't get me wrong, but a couple of things.

• I've read that the single campaign is rather weak. While it does have a single player campaign is nice, something that the prior Star Wars Battlefront didn't. The reviews I've read seem to indicate its not a great storyline.
• I'm not into online game playing, I understand its very popular and its not my thing, so the battlefront games are a poor fit for my gaming habits
• The whole lootbox/pay to win mentality. Sorry but the game is expensive enough as it is, and I don't by EA's attempt to quell this issue, by temporarily removing it saying they'll re-work it in the future. That's just them trying to get you to buy it and then re-adding the pay to win with a slightly lower threshold.

I was very interested in SW:BF2, but I just can't bring myself to buy it (after the unlock/microtransactions debacle).

Frankly, all I want is a Star Wars starfighters space combat game, to an epic scale.

Why has it been so hard for Lucasfilm to release one, after all these years???? UGH!

I still play Battlefront 2 from 2005, the game is absolutely perfect. Honestly wouldn't mind a reskinned version of it, maybe some bug fixes.

EA's BF/BF2 haven't come close to it(in my opinion).

Both Regular and Deluxe Editions on sale at Gamestop this week at $20.

My favorite GS was out of the Xbox One version, so picked up the PS4 Deluxe Edition - $10 after my $10 coupon - should be worth it...

For those that have it, is the gambling thing still there, or even reduced a little? I had the first one on PS4, and while I thought it was a gorgeous game, it felt like I had seen everything in the first hour of playing. Side note: the graphics mods for PC for these games are amazing.
