How long does the pencil take to fully charge, and is there anywhere to see the charge level (does it show up in today view like Apple Watch does)?

It took about 3 minutes to charge from 70% to 100% when plugged in to my iPad Pro, and yes, there is a widget just like with the Watch.

The Pencil will not charge from any other iOS device.

Take a look at this amazing article, which, while focussed on the Apple Watch, says a lot about Apple's manufacturing in general.

"Apple really need to sort out their stock issues" is such a common thought around here, but what they are already doing is frankly unbelievable, and the only way to ensure plentiful stock is to delay launches, which doesn't make sense, especially at this time of the year.

Any movement on any UK Pencil orders?

My order (about 11:30 on 11/11) was in the 'Dispatched 1-2 weeks' group, with delivery "19-26 November". I'm still "Processing Items", but with my delivery window approaching I'm hoping to see PFD in the next couple of days.

I've got the exact same dispatched and delivery estimate. Mine is also still stuck on "processing"

I'm in the same delivery window as you. I was hoping it'd be dispatched yesterday considering the earlier orders were being sent on Friday. Still hoping it might get sent today!

My Pencil and Smart Keyboard are both Preparing for Dispatch as of 15:54hrs (GMT) today. My order confirmation email was at 08:43GMT on 11th November.

In other news, I managed to pick up a pencil in store today at Glasgow Buchanan Street after the business team called me to say they had one and did I want it... I got home at 15:40hrs and was about to cancel my online order when it went to PFD and I can't cancel it now! Rest assured it will be returned or sold on for zero profit.

Same here it has only recently moved to preparing for dispatch, I'm guessing they won't be dispatched until tomorrow. In which case we might receive Monday.

My pencil order went to preparing for dispatch at 3:44pm and still hasn't moved on. Very unusual for orders to go into preparation and not dispatch same day
