Hello,
I am using MacBook Pro 2020 Monterey 12.6.8
I installed Visual Studio Code and like it.
Unfortunately .. when I tried to Update it .. failed with this error:

The link points to https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/7426#issuecomment-425093469
I tried to follow instructions but it looks that I don't have permission to move app into folder /Applications
My account is 'Standard' and I can't run sudo
Could you suggest any work-around?

Thanks

Then you will need an Admin to move the app into the Applications folder.

If you installed it, how did it get on the read-only system volume? Are you perhaps still running it from a DMG?
Well … I simply downloaded it from the site and did not have any issue to install. It was .zip file and it didn’t request permissions. But I have to move to /Applications folder and here I don’t have permission
