Weekly photo contest challenge: Repetition (Apr 1 - Apr 10)

The topic is: repetition.

Interpret this any way you like.

Since next weekend is easter weekend I will have a long weekend off. The deadline will therefore be 10 april.

As always, standard rules apply:
  • The photographs must be your own work
  • You may only submit one photo per contest.
  • No commenting or liking photos until after the judging has taken place.
  • This contest runs for about a week, starting now.
  • At the end of the competition, the judge (last week's winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
  • The 1st place winner will start a new thread here with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
  • Be sure to update the Contest Master List as soon as you post a new theme.
  • Contest ends on April 10 at midnight CEST

Thanks for all the entries. I was fun and difficult to judge this week.

@kenoh : A lovely shot and dad humour. A great start of this week. Simple and elegant. A minor criticism: the upper left feels a bit cramped.

@Expos of 1969 : Colourful! Who dared to bag the peppers in the lower right corner?!

@TheYayAreaLiving 🎗️ My OCD kicks in! :) But serious, I like it.

@chown33 : It's hard to tell what the scale of the image is. It's intruiging.

@OldMacs4Me : I like the image, but my first association is not repetition (although I can see why you submitted it)

@mollyc : Clever. First I see the numbers and their shadow. Then the fading, repeating dashes.

@Janichsan : I think I would like this even more if it was more abstract. E.g. just the repetition of the window frames.

@Hughmac : Several layers of repetition. Great exposure and colours.

@JAWJr : A classic interpretation of the theme. Nicely executed.

@_timo_redux_ Beautiful. I like that you included a person. It makes a nice focus point in the repetition.

Oh my goodness, what a surprise. Thank you so much for the podium, and well done to everyone for a great set of entries.

By the way, my photo was taken a few years ago in Ely cathedral.

I will have a thunk and start a new contest tomorrow evening.

thanks for the mention and congrats to @Hughmac.

after seeing some of the initial entries i thought i’d enter something a little different. although i originally went looking in lr for a different photo i decided to use the shadow one.
