Appears that Apple has fixed the iBooks location/bookmarks/notes syncing issue. Late this afternoon everything started syncing for me again. Must have been a server side issue. Scott

So my e-books disappeared from my iPad after the update last night. They are on iBooks on the Mac, but on my iPad device it's pretty much a blank window. When I go into iTunes to try to sync them back, they don't show up in the syncing window for books.

Opening the iBooks app has proven difficult on an iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 9.3. I do have a lot of audiobooks but that shouldn't cause iBooks to freeze. Anytime one closes iBooks then reopens it, iBooks freezes. Sometimes it eventually unfreezes. Almost unusable.
