After activating the two factor authentication on my Apple ID all my devices show up a trustworthy devices except my Apple watch. The iCloud preferences panel on my Mac tell's me that "this device cannot be used to receive apple id verification codes". Can a Apple Watch receive 2FA codes at all?

I'm trying to get an Apple Watch. I would ship it or have it picked up at store, but right now, my card is not working and idk why. Right now, I only have cash. I'm planning on making a trip to the Polaris or Easton store in Ohio, but checking iStock, they haven't had any watches since Saturday.

I want to know why people made the choice of getting a smart watch IF they chose it over getting a traditional watch (Quartz, Automatic etc..). What motivated your decision and thought process? just collecting some feedback for a topic I'm working on with other watch enthusiasts and not trying...
