The thread was opened way before iOS 11.3 was released. As long as the last iOS version is a lot better than any 11.x before in terms of speed, I am just asking if the nature of this thread still speaks for itself;)

I am currently using both an iPhone 5C on 10.3 (can't update to 11 anyways) and an iPhone 5S on 11.3.

It is insane how much more responsive and less laggy my 5C on 10.3 is compared to the 5S on 11.3. Moreover, more apps stay in memory and there's less delay when reopening a recently used app.

My 5S is my daily driver now, but I am contemplating going back to the 5C because of this difference in speed.

On 10.3.3 on my 6 Plus and I'm experiencing a decent amount of lag, so I can't imagine how 11.3 will be for me.

Could be that throttling is enabled on your device (which actually wouldn't be by default with iOS 11.3).

After hearing all the negative things about iOS 11, I didn't feel like starting all over again with the glitches and slowdowns that happen every year with a new iOS release, so I simply never updated (since there's no way to downgrade if I'm unhappy with the update).

I'm happily still on iOS 10.3.3 and I have no regrets. It's rock solid and fast. No home button lag (iPhone 7 Plus) and I honestly prefer the animations on iOS 10 compared to iOS 11.

You are so lucky man. I wish my 6s was still running 10.3.3
But I learned a good lesson, any apple device I buy from now on, I promise you I will never update the OS, it's just not worth it.
