Yep, people die every day. Heart disease is the worst offender. It's just horrible death, untold human sadness, suffering and loss.

You'd be surprised how mostly symbolic things like the Presidency can make a real difference in people's attitudes and lives. If you think Trump was the problem then you're not paying attention.
Heart disease isn't passed on to strangers. We are going to see lots of PTSD and guilt in the coming years.Yep, people die every day. Heart disease is the worst offender.
Turns out that they actually do. This wasn't staged, but it was 'safer' for the penguins that often roam the streets due to the lockdown. https://www.bbcearth.com/blog/?article=penguins-in-the-cityThat picture is from Cape Town, butI doubt penguins actually walked around on Long Street...
I have seen pictures of penguins wandering all over certain towns in South Africa. Kind of nice to see nature take back over.Turns out that they actually do. ooh.... so you're only saddened about death when it's passed onto strangers? Got it.Heart disease isn't passed on to strangers.
If that's your takeaway from my comment then I suspect you're suffering too. Take care of yourself.ooh.... so you're only saddened about death when it's passed onto strangers? Got it.
I'll just leave this here (assuming Mayo Clinic is any kind of credible [spoiler alert: they are.]): https://newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org/discussion/covid-19-vaccine-myths-debunked/If it were not for the enacting of the emergency powers act these vaccines would still be in testing, for probably a year/s...aka "experimental".
Watch any 90 second TV ad for any drug, its 30 seconds of how wonderful your life will be followed by 60 seconds of all the horrible things the drug can possibly do to you. Those drugs went through the normal testing procedure. These vaccines where fast tracked.
I am not saying you should not take them. If I was over 70, I would for sure take it. I have had my first shot, because my employer is in an industry that is consider "essential". We were asked to the let our management know if we were going to take the arranged vaccine. We went on a Sunday and half of my team was there (14 of us). I am sure I could have said "no" but many of us felt we were being "voluntold" and did not want to be on some list of those that did not take it.
Considering my status, in great health and well under 70, I would personally not want to get covid or a the vaccine that at best gives me a 95% chance of surviving a virus that only has a .3% (at best) chance of killing me.
You'd be wrong, but thanksIf that's your takeaway from my comment then I suspect you're suffering too.
What was a myth, that they were fast-tracked or that they cut corners?you're incorrect about them not going through normal testing procedures, as if 'fast tracking' = 'cutting corners'. It's a common myth.
Are you at all aware of how parochial, petty, and presumptuous this comment reveals you to be? Such a very small person. Will Attenborough ever go away? And Earth Day, too. A person and day we would all be better off without. lol.
Sir David. lol
Agreed, many people here are anti-intellectualism. It’s rampant in the USA and this forum. It's no secret that anti-intellectualism has run rampant here in the United States, but it's a shame to see so much of it here on macrumors
It has certainly gotten worse since the start of Trump's presidency. Not really surprising considering he treated expert opinion and advise like it was worthless and pretended himself to be an expert in every field. But the roots of the issue are definitely deeper than just one president.
That fast-tracking meant they cut corners with this vaccine. What was a myth, that they were fast-tracked or that they cut corners?
...How is it Florida and other countries are doing fine, ...
Yeah, that's exactly what they tried to say in the 1950'sThat fast-tracking meant they cut corners with this vaccine.
Well stated 👍Agreed, many people here are anti-intellectualism. It’s rampant in the USA and this forum.
What’s worse, people don’t think ahead, or critically. Like, how is 5+ trillion in debt going to be paid off? How is it Florida and other countries are doing fine, while countries and states who far over-reacted with shutdowns, actually had worse numbers?
Hamstringing businesses, putting millions out of work, causing depression and fear - to what end? It certainly didn’t save lives.
It’s sad that people don’t use their brain. They just repeat what the news tells them and take it as fact, rather than doing deep research. These people are anti-science and critical thinking.

You give them too much credit. The mainstream media is so good at fear-mongering that most people will be willing to give up essential rights and "think" they are doing something good. You'd be surprised how actual things like the upheaval of someone's rights and morality will make a real difference in people's attitudes and lives.
For the sake of everyone, I hope you're wrong. You give them too much credit. The mainstream media is so good at fear-mongering that most people will be willing to give up essential rights and "think" they are doing something good.
So do I, but I don't think 'hope' is going to stop the lemmings from going over the cliff. For the sake of everyone, I hope you're wrong.
Some of us believe our rights are more important than others’ lives. You'd be surprised how actual things like the upheaval of someone's rights and morality will make a real difference in people's attitudes and lives.
So you’re saying when there is a pandemic we should listen to economists and not doctors.Agreed, many people here are anti-intellectualism. It’s rampant in the USA and this forum.
