Wrong. The China economy is 1/3 of the USA. Its all smoke and mirrors and its starting to leak all the lies about the Chinese economy . Do some research and you will find out.
really? this the first time i heard of such revelation, you got a source to back it up?

NAND is already pretty cheap right now. Not sure that one vendor will make much of a difference. I am very dubious we should be escalating the trade war with China. Trade is how we solve differences and work together despite having different societal norms. These disruptions should have a higher bar.

Just to be clear, Cook said Americans are too dumb to build the factory and keep it running (which is true. Of course Apple could afford to take a few years to educate/train the people if they wanted to). Not Americans are too dumb to sit at an assembly line and screw things together and put them in a box.

America has a shortage of skilled manufacturing and operations personnel. It does not have a shortage unskilled workers (the ones who would actually be assembling the iPhones).

Yes. All Chinese companies must cooperate with Chinas military no questions asked! They do ignor UN sanctions if they want to. They do arbitrarily impose trade sanctions if you ‘anger‘ them…. It’s a long list.
lol thats literally every country in the world, not just china. since the patriot act and PRISM program, every us companies must cooperate with the us gov't no questions asked! if anything, us been doing questionable sanctions since the 1960s.

Apple fan be bashing Samsung but Apple keeps going to them to build their phones. Why don't apple just go build their own stuff and stop using Samsung? Go w/ LG for all of the screens. Stop using using TSMC for their chip. Build their own stuff for once.

Hey at least Apple doesn’t constantly run TV and internet ads bashing Samsung, the way Samsung has been doing about Apple for years. No one cares who fans bash on some random internet forum.

That’s not the reason according to Tim in a recent interview; he claimed it was due to a lack of skilled workers in the United States. Basically said Americans are too dumb to assemble an iPhone with any sort of accuracy…

A very shallow interpretation. A skilled manufacturing engineer is needed for every 100 line workers in assembly plants for iPhones, and America is simply not creating enough of those to meet the level of demand required to bring assembly over here. China is turning out droves of them every month.

So long as apple continue to outsource their manufacturing, they'll continue to be at risk to socio-political issues.

china doesn't have a welcoming immigration system like the us or the west. you can't just become a permanent citizen by living there legally for 5 years like the us
The CCP doesn’t have a welcoming anything, they will take your money and steal your tech, that’s the only welcom anyone can expect from the CCP.

are you talking about technology transfer? china is not the only country that does that, japan in the 50s and 60s, south korea, singapore, basically any country that had a huge leap in economy traded cheap human labor for tech transfer.

Yeah, na. Apples and oranges. The CCP actively encourages stealing, not quasi-legal loopholes. japan used patents to get tech which is semi legal and was easily circumvented, the US government didn’t care at the time because of the indirect support for suppling the Korean War. Singapore is a trading nation it gained tech by creating tax havens (not stealing).
No others country steals in anywhere the same magnitude as the CCP run China. Just look at their new military aircraft for blinding obvious examples.

during the cold war us and soviet constantly spy and stole information from each other, us at the time actively offered huge bounty for any defectors from the soviet, just google Adolf Tolkachev for example.

Seem that your only argument is “what aboutism”. Why don’t you google industrial espionage.

hardly, my argument is about double standard, why don't you google globalization after ww2 and see how many other countries had the same policy china is currently deploying.
Laughable, your what aboutism prevents you from addressing my point. Question do two wrongs make a right? If you can answer that, perhaps, just perhaps, you might get back on topic.
