Yeah, the TI just came two weeks after my second non-TI,

Timing is everything ;)

Hope your crashes are fixed ...

you're right about the timing; I sure didn't see that one coming…

thanks -- I think we're all updated and running again!

Enjoy your time at #3 (and take a few snapshots :))

but you could replace that 660 ti with a 780 ti!!

Not possible; there are the connector for power on and reset in the way. For the SATA I'm already happy they made them 90degee flipped. For the third PCIe slot only short cards like 660Ti are ok. I wish different; should have taken a different board.

Damn, just did that ... A cheap Asus board as new home for my 660Ti. With a benched i3. So now the new NV driver feeding the 780s while the 319.x driver feeds the "legacy" card. I love Linux/GPU folding. Easy to install and operate.

i'm still debating on what's the best card for my old mac pro. i tried my 7970 in there, but it didn't work. i guess not enough power. so i guess either a 7870 or a 660 Ti or 760?

I'd say whichever uses less power (but still gets the job done for what you want) my 660 ti works fine in the pro. they had good sales on recently.. perhaps Black Friday will have some clear-out deals...

do you still get over 60k ppd with it? right now my 465 is getting about 10k ppd, so it'd be a nice upgrade. but $300 is still a lot of money

yes still solid at around 65 K pod. and playing nicely with a 7970 in the same rig!

$300 sounds high. I saw them at $250 Canadian for the super clocked EVGA version a few weeks ago -- eBay has a few though I don't know how much they ultimately sell for...

we just had our best week ever as a team (21,140,055)! way to go!
That's terrible news. Soon the MacRumors front page will be cluttered with news stories: "Folding Team Reaches 2 Billion Points", "Folding Team Reaches 3 Billion Points", etc. There'll be no more room for Apple news!
