Heck yeah, I get busy with both wrists. For watches, you pervs. Information-heavy AW Ultra on right wrist, Bronze-heavy chronograph on the left. Only I'm the dork that was doing it years before the poptokfinstafluencers deigned to psuedo-coolify it.It would be hard for me to go back to a "dumb" watch. I would just wear 2 watches.

Back in high school, I remember the coolest girls used to wear three or four Swatches on each wrist. One girl cleverly set each for a different city timezone somehow related to the graphics.
Wile I don't wear wrist watches anymore, but I prefer a modern wrist watch like the Casio G-Shock to an Apple or similar watch.
Dont have an Apple Watch. Just never really been that sold on buying a watch that i'll have to replace, because of its innate planned obsolesce.
That, and i'm not really a gym rat yet.
Been using my trusty Tag i got back in 2005, and the Omega which is probably over 3 decades old now and needs a new battery.
Maybe i'll get an Apple Watch at some point but...not quite sold on it yet personally.

I went back to traditional watches almost two years ago now and have never looked back. I have a few Seikos that I really enjoy and a small but growing collection of other timepieces.
The moment I get my 1962 Omega Seamaster back from it refurb in Switzerland the electronics are gone! Don't get me wrong, I've learned a lot of valuable information from having a smartwatch but now that I know it the smartwatch it totally unnecessary. And no way will will miss having to be constantly changing that f&%$er! I've come to realise that I only want my watch to tell the time.

The classic, always stylish and best of all affordable Casio Royale of course. Not that Bond ever wore one in Octopussy or even one similar in Casino Royale but that's just what people like to call it

I have the same Royale and it is like a time capsule back to my younger self from many years ago. Fantastic value, super comfortable bracelet, battery lasts for ages, it’s a classic.
The Casio Royale has the classic old Casio look and feel, where it was a cool looking ripoff of a much more expensive Seiko, Brietling, etc that actually did useful stuff with the display unlike on the Casio where it was more for decoration. I still remember a marketing meeting with Casio where fumbling with a watch I asked how to use the bezel and was told it was purely decorative🤣
But with the stainless bracelet it's really unbalanced with a weightless plastic body - it should all be resin, all metal (or ideally, all titanium).
I'd also go with a Casio but I'll probably pick a reconditioned-to-mint TGW-10 (and set the year to 1996 so that the calendar works for a couple of decades) because it went all-in on the embedded circular dials, and it seems much more reminiscent of the original 70's Uchoo Senkan Yamato or Ginga Tetsudou 999 art style that I love.
I do like Citizen EcoDrives as well tho, so fuss-free. So maybe a titanium EcoDrive.

30 dollar watch of course, so I wouldn't expect a titanium body. Luckily there are plenty of third parties who make a metal bodies for it, but you'd be looking at 3 time price increase over the watch itself!
But yeah, I agree, Casio has always been one to do decoration. But that's part of the charm for me. And for pure time keeping the Royale is unbeat at its price
That's kind of what I mean - if it was a $150-$180 titanium + ti bracelet watch it'd be a slam dunk for someone who wants nostalgia with resin lightness but with something more durable. The AE1200 strap is way too heavy for me for example and I'd never wear it.
That Rolex watch is a beautiful timepiece, but extremely heavy. Also, metallic straps tend to "grab" some of the hairs on one's wrists, and become quite cold when exposed to the cold winter temperatures. If I would have such a watch, I would leave it at home and wear onether that has leather or rubberized straps-if spending time in outdoors in the winter.

I'm currently thinking about what options I have for this because I can't stand smartwatches. I tried an Apple Watch ages ago, but having to charge a watch every two days just feels wrong (and they are not scratch-resistant enough for people like me); at the same time, I don't want to be constantly staring at my smartphone to see what time it might be at upscale events or on a date.
After reading a lot about movements, cases and crystal glass, I've made a sort of "checklist" for the watch of my choice:
- I want an automatic movement (edit: from anyone but Miyota - they're too loud). Quartz movements are boring.
- Necessary features are a date display and at least slightly illuminated hands.
- Sapphire crystal (or the possibility of using one) is absolutely essential. I'm really clumsy.
- I don't want the watch to be too "smart", so it should go with a shirt and hoodie as well as a fine suit.
- And all this for a maximum of 700 euros, because I'm not only demanding, but also poor.
After reading about twelve billion reviews, I'm undecided between a Hamilton Khaki Auto and a (sapphire-modified) Seiko SRPG, and it looks like the Hamilton has the slight edge. I'll try them both out on Friday.
After reading a lot about movements, cases and crystal glass, I've made a sort of "checklist" for the watch of my choice:
- I want an automatic movement (edit: from anyone but Miyota - they're too loud). Quartz movements are boring.
- Necessary features are a date display and at least slightly illuminated hands.
- Sapphire crystal (or the possibility of using one) is absolutely essential. I'm really clumsy.
- I don't want the watch to be too "smart", so it should go with a shirt and hoodie as well as a fine suit.

I’ve tried Apple Watches twice and I just can’t get on with them. I much prefer a traditional watch rather than all the notifications going on all the time. I generally wear seiko or omega.

I had actually considered the PRX Powermatic for a while, but (like the Presage Cocktail Time) it just looks too classy for everyday wear. I really like its specs, but I walk around in a (t-)shirt and trainers about 360 days a year and I'm afraid the PRX would just look a bit silly.
