You realise that this (supposed) "connect to iTunes" screen could be faked by the stupidest of people, right? Android innards could do that, so could a microcontroller connected to an LCD... and a COG WHEEL? :-/ LOL!

Finknottle - and that iTunes server error could also be faked by any number of methods.

Wow. The public are easily tricked.

Not excited about the power/standby/wake button being on the side. I have used a GS4 for some testing at work, and I hate that location. Makes it far too easy to inadvertently put the screen to sleep. Ugh.
Agree. And with the volume buttons on the opposite side I can only imagine how many times the volume level needs to be corrected after locking the screen..
*locking screen but index finger is right at the "volume down" button, presses too hard and lowers volume before locking screen*

Sorry, I better go - I need to update my Moto G :p

Perhaps all you iPhone owners have never noticed that when it is booting, there's an Apple logo?

Duh.

You're right. I'm gonna laugh my socks off when all these "leaked" images and videos turn out to be deliberate misdirection from Cupertino :D

I'll laugh VERY hard, VERY VERY long. Of course, I could be very wrong, but this thing looks - from not having held/used it, VERY unlike Apple indeed.

You think Apple can't misdirect and distract us with fakes? More fool you, public.

No, this is 99% how the iPhone 6 will look, albeit a different colour rear. This video shows slightly more accurately the colour combination for the black version:

http://youtu.be/bqoOyP3RDO8

The video is definately not a real iPhone 6. That company "Feld & Volk" is a Russian company that specialise in redesigning iphones with their own custom designs, this includes making their own redesigned iPhone unibody shells and sell them for a premium.

Probably made this video for more webpage hits and marketing

Wish you were right but sadly at this point,we can all be 99% sure this is how the final product looks.

i'll laugh too, but the evidence seems to have been piling up in no way different from other years' releases. you MAY have a case of the Denials.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic but I for one really couldn't care less about the protruding camera. Everyone should've seen it coming as it was on the touch years ago. Even if I was part of the few people who didn't use a case I wouldn't care. Just set it down screen first if you really don't want it to wobble.

Please tell me where the commas should go? Title looks fine to me.

I'm not being sarcastic at all. It's getting annoying all these complaints about the protruding camera...

Actually, the phone in "Feld & Volk" video is the real deal (design and color vise). Whether it's actually a working unit or not is up for debate.

i can wait, IMO it looks cheap. What good is having an amazing scratch resistant screen when your going to have to put a case on it to keep the camera lens from being knocked off of it because it protrudes? 500mb for apps is really keeping it back as well. I wonder what they will have in store for next year. A few others have said this and i think i agree. Ive been with apple since the original iPhone, but now it seems as its just more of the same. Oh wells. Im not jumping ship, but yeah, idk anymore.

The reason why i care about the protruding camera is because it will be setting on the camera lens, while its face up and I'm using it, is going to eventually scratch the lens.

Sad Silver

Space Grey, please!

You're looking at it. The white iPhone will be even lighter in colour.

I used to love going to the Apple Store and getting the staff to call it space grey, just so I could tell them, they have to call it space grey, I'm just going to call it what it is—really grey. I thought that by this year, the manufacturing geniuses at the biggest technology company in the world would have solved the black-problem. Well that joke backfired on me, didn't it?

That's going to be the hardest thing about leaving my iPhone 5 — it's not black, but you could mistake it for black. These things are just Sad Silver, begging for a case to hide Apple's manufacturing shame. Maybe it's just a way to get us to beg for insipid safety vest 5c colours. Sigh.

Only company in the world that can't make black aluminium.

And you just know how badly covers are going to fit that rounded shape.

Sigh. The screen had better be REALLY big, because that looks like all we have to look forward to. For 4 years now—same storage capacities, same cameras, same slow USB connection, couldn't get the selected podcasts from iTunes more wrong if it tried, and if iOS 8 continues to delay my use of apps by telling me what my settings are and why it doesn't like them EVERY time I switch to an app, Apple had better start making these things out of rubber, because they're going to be doing a lot of BOUNCING.

And have you seen the new iTunes? The only useful part, the sidebar, is gone for good now. Now you have to figure out which part of the screen to go to to find which hidden drop-down to select the right collection, and there's no just dragging things to playlists quickly and efficiently anymore, oh that's right playlists don't work anyway…

Not that every Apple app doesn't crash every day on my minimum spec Yosemite test machine, because it won't really run in 2GB of RAM, just that Apple doesn't want to say it won't, due to the need to be able to say—runs on the same machines as Mavericks. Nope it won't.

Sigh. Can't wait to see Phil Schiller dancing around on stage, crowing we've got bigger screens—4 years after the rest of the industry MY arse.

I can only hope it's fast enough to last me another couple of years, before I get the chance to be DELIGHTED all over again. From all the rumours (that camera bump is SO attractive, are we sure that's not an iPod the world has been creaming itself over?), that Nokia 1520 is still looking pretty good to me.

Obviously it's running Android on a non A-processor, but it could be using actual iPhone 6 shell and display.

Apart from the fact that it's not, it is clearly the goophone, shown a month ago. All they have done is shined/dressed it up, you know, that's what they do.

It was bound to happen. With so many parts leak, someone has now assembled it & got it working. Now Apple won't be the first to showcase it :D.

Do not like the top and bottom where the 5 and 5S were colored in to get rid of the antenna separator lines. Did HTC One have an influence on this. I think it makes the new iPhone 6 kind of ugly looking.

My main issue with this is that the iTunes logo portrayed here is not the correct icon for the next version of iTunes. "So what?" you may ask. Well, iTunes will require an update to support iOS 8 and the new iPhones, and the next version of iTunes has a reddish icon. Why on earth would a phone running iOS 8 have the old iTunes icon? Will Apple have to immediately release 8.0.1 to update the icons? No, I bet even the current betas of iOS 8 already use the new iTunes icon. Surely, the next iPhones would be running iOS 8, would they not?

Thus, I bet this screen is simply fabricated from an existing iPhone running iOS 7.

iTunes icon is now red

If this has ios8, the iTunes icon should be red, not blue.
Anyway, who cares about Frankenstein iPhones built from parts.
I want the real thing and I want it BIG! 5.5" please!

Screen Resolution Estimate

I did some eyeballing on the photo and made some rough estimates of the screen resolution. Of course, the edge of the screen is hard (impossible) to see, but i eye-ball estimated based on the first screenshot, where the top and bottom screen boundaries are barely visible. The second screenshot shows where I'm estimating the screen boundaries.

To make the screen resolution estimate, I'm assuming that the image shown on the iphone 6 is the same image, pixel for pixel, as the iphone 5. The difference being that the image is placed in the center, leaving the rest of the larger screen just black. That allows me to estimate the top and bottom margins. So, scaling up the iphone 5 resolution of 1136 gave me a rough estimate of 1360 pixels. This is computed as 1136 * (smaller vertical measurement / taller vertical measurement).

The horizontal estimate is just 1360 * (horizontal measurement / taller vertical measurement), which gives me 784 pixels.

note that the estimate of 1360x784 is not unreasonably far from the 1334x750 rumor from
https://www.macrumors.com/2014/08/23/4-7-5-5-inch-iphone6-2x-3x-retina-gruber/
especially considering how rough my method was. (Consider that there is parallax and I can't actually see the screen edges and such.)
