I got my iPhone X battery replaced, and boy the phone lasts much longer now on a single charge. I am glad I managed to get it done as I plan to keep this for a while. The battery on the X degraded the fastest of any iPhone I have had or seen amongst my friends in just a year.

What was your battery health/no of cycles?

I noticed the same thing as well. My 7+ have 94% after 2 years and my X was at 89% at 1 year, when it was replaced on 12/21/18 after a botched battery replacement.

My dad's iPhone 6S Plus is 3 years old and battery health is at 89%. My iPhone X was down to 88% after a year.

Currently my launch day iPhone X is sitting at 87%. Has 495 cycles and battery life is still decent, just doesn’t hold up above 90% for long.

I'm highly skeptical of that battery health feature. My 7 plus has been at 85% for the longest time, but I restored it as new and says 87% now. It feels more like 80%.

Either way, buying a Xs tomorrow. I know the battery is worse than the 7 plus, but it charges faster, so there's that.

If you’re using iOS 11 (iPhone 7 Plus)/12 XS battery will be way better than 7 Plus. If your 7 Plus was still on iOS 10, it might have slightly better battery than XS on iOS 12.

I'm on iOS 12. I actually had better battery life with iOS 11, but that could just be battery degradation.

Any iPhone that supports both iOS 11 and iOS 12 will have better battery life with iOS 11, even with a fresh battery.

XS on iOS 12 will have at least 30-50% more battery life than a 7+ on iOS 12 even with a fresh battery.

Ever since I updated my iPhone X to iOS 12 I’ve noticed the battery Health has been updating aka decreasing significantly. Battery health is at 92% anyone else at similar levels or have noticed there iPhone degrade? Not sure to blame decrease in actual battery usage on iOS 12 or the battery health.
Mine iPhone X is at 91% same as my old iPhone 6

For what it’s worth: After 15 months of moderate/light usage my X is at 94%. Been on 12.0 since September release. Not saying that’s good or bad, simply a fact.

My iPhone X is pretty much launch day (bought it 2 weeks after). The battery health shows 96% while coconut shows 98%. I am at 307 cycles. Cant complain about the battery life as I usually end the day with about 40% left.

I am about 88% on mine according to Battery Health and I had mine since a few weeks after launch. But I make heavy use of the battery since the extra battery life was a major reason for my purchase. I have 349 cycles on the battery according to iMazing.

Manufactured in February of 2018. Obtained as warranty replacement in May or June (can’t remember which).

That's not too bad, actually. My X is close to launch day (Nov-17, got it early Dec) and battery health is 89% at 328 charge cycles.
Do you use both devices the same way?

Yes I did. I stayed using the X so many hours out of a day. Last Saturday, I upgraded to the XS Max and saving my X for a backup phone.

I’ve had my XS since release date so a little under 6 months and my battery health just went to 97%. I consider myself a pretty heavy user so is this considered normal?
