I believe I read somehow the screen total area is more on the note 9 due to the notch on the X. Not stirring the pot, just saying. Whatever it is, it’s minuscule.

Do you guys find the max harder to use than the plus? I saw a review comment on how now that the screen is taking up the bezel area of the plus that its even more difficult to reach the top of the screen, which makes sense. I was able to adapt to my 7+ but it definitely felt big still. Going to the X felt pretty good. I just don't see myself wanting a phone that big, especially if all the features are the same (I went with the plus for the dual camera's).
My XS comes in tomorrow and I guess I'll check out the max in stores to make sure, but I'm still a little up in the air.

Surface area and display size are not interchangeable metrics.
iPhone max has a larger display, that’s not debatable.

No problem. That one is the Spigen Liquid Crystal clear case. I also have the Apple Cape Cod Blue leather case which also looks great.
if possible can someone do a side by side x/xs vs max showing a website on safari? maybe a news article to see how much more info is displayed on the max?

- perfect shade of gold. It’s almost bronze/copper like.
- it’s even faster and snappier than the X and I thought that was responsive.
- it feels good to be back on a big screen. I missed my 7+ when I transitioned to the X
- you can tell when apps aren’t optimised cos it’s just the X layout blown up. Will take developers some time to fully utilise the increased screen size.

Absolutely loving the XS Max. Upgraded from a 7 but was able to get used to the size via my partner’s 8+ over the past year.
The gold is beautiful. The user experience is flawless. It’s miles ahead of the X, which my brother owns so I’m used to that as well.
You guys are going to love it.
I would really like to see some more size comparisons between the X and the XS Max. Some of the pics I’ve seen so far sometimes make it look only slightly larger, and other times it looks massively larger. Even within this thread. Could be perspective of the camera. Need some straight-on shots of the front, top, and side views, with the phones being perfectly lined up from the bottom...... if anyone would be so kind 
This year, the Max is the way to go. I really like that Apple offered this size, the 5.8 was too small for me. Haven’t received mine yet, but soon enough.
Yes and yes. Both blew me away coming from the 7. Apple are really trying with the sound of this thing. It’s not quite there but they’re making strides.
It’s the screen that’ll get you, though. Resulted in an involuntary “OMG” from me on opening.

The max screen is definitely a bit warmer from these photos. Ugh only a few More hours until mine is here!!!! I went space grey again but after seeing all the photos of gold I am second guessing my color choice.
I’m not a great photographer and I’m just using my iPad Pro 10.5 camera here (yes, a use for the iPad camera hehe).

Thanx for the pics. As people can see here too...the Max is a little bit taller over X/XS. The width feels the same. I believe many people will like the Max. Many of us was scared thinking it would be too big over X/XS but it really isn’t. Even feels lighter too me over X.
