64GB is fine... but in my case I'm glad I opted for the 128GB on my XR

didn't get around to using it until recently, when I got some Bose 700 noise cancelling cans and wanted a decent amount of music locally stored for plane rides. That coupled with traveling more often, the extra $50 has 'paid off'

But it would be an annoying dilemma 64gb vs 256gb in case of pro's since 256gb is total overkill and I do hate paying for overpriced storage I never use, and gets lost in translation when reselling

For me, 64GB is more than fine. I have two iPhones, one a 64GB SE that I use at school (I'm a teacher) and my personal phone is a 128GB 7. I got the 128GB 7 because it was a choice between 32GB or 128GB.

I keep my music library on my phone, a number of apps that I use regularly, and I don't play many games at all on my phone. Most of my storage is used by music, photos, and iMessage. Attached are some pics for you to peruse; if/when I get a new iPhone, it will likely be a 64GB phone as well, because I simply do not really need much more than that. I tend to buy a phone and use it for 3ish years, so I'm not terribly worried about the resale value.

Wouldnt go as low as 64GB again. thought i would manage but found myself having to monitor the internal storage quite a bit. Defo going for 128GB at least for my next iphone. Hopefully it becomes a standard to have 128GB this year

Actually, I could survive on 32 GB if I wanted to. I don’t use a lot of media, and I don’t have that many applications, but 64 GB has been More than enough for my applications.
Apple doesn't sell 32GB iPhone's. To find a 32GB iPhone, you have to find an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus or an even older iPhone. You shouldn't buy an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus. Especially don't buy an older iPhone. They are too old to buy at this point.

You're welcome. I refuse to use an app for something that can be done via a website. I feel social media and streaming services rob us of time that could be spent on higher pursuits. I loathe chaos and disorder.. and my devices seem to reflect that.

your post made me laugh out loud. Needed that mid week. Thanks . I’m the complete opposite when it comes to using a service. If there’s an app available I’d always use that first before going to the website. I only use websites when the app is either not working or doesn’t have the feature I’m looking for.

Did 64 is enough. I might even be good with 32, but I have to check my phone. Only got 256 because of the preorder debacle. Had a 64 locked in for launch date pickup and the MORNING OF my pickup, I get a garbage email about a delay. Would have been nice to get that notice a little sooner?! Still didn't have any email about pickup on Saturday, so search stores, and could only find a MG in 256 at a different store still somewhat close, so took that.

No it would cost them hundreds. For anybody who only needs more then 64GB but not more then 128 they would lose out on those people who upgrade to 256gb because of that fact.
Yea it's been greed since the 6 when they went 16 64 128 instead of the 1x 2x 4x pattern with the 5s and earlier.

Exactly. Usually the websites are all clunky and take way more taps to access and are just another safari tab.

Weird. I was on this one and was thinking exactly what you posted before reading. Annoys me how customers get overcharged badly for extra storage, buy barely get extra reselling.

Around 33GB now. Could most likely easily get under if I delete apps I haven't used for a while and do housekeeping on Photos.

With the amount of photos and 4K video I take with my iPhone, 128GB is the minimum for me. iPad, I can get away with 64GB comfortably since I only play games and stream video on it. My iCloud Photo Library is set to optimize storage so it doesn’t fill the 64 up so easily.

This thread actually shows that more than just a handful of people bought the lowest available storage and are more than happy with it. This notion of you have to have 128GB as minimum is fuelled by some of the YouTube reviewers who compared with other available android devices.

You're right about that. Each year I say to myself "get more storage, just in case" like they all preach, but for me it's just not needed. I'm more than fine w 64GB. I used to think I was an oddball because I'm fine with the minimum.

I mean at this day and age I don’t see why the min can’t be 128gb. 256 is nice but not worth $150 more on a phone that already is $1,000 already. 64 is fine and I see why they have it that way.

I bought 256GB, but turns out, I should’ve went with 64GB. I’m using 36GB and 16GB of that is Spotify that I really don’t need to have downloaded, or if I did, I could download at a lower quality. Plus, with 200GB of iCloud storage, I really don’t need more than 64GB. Even my iPad is fine with it, and I do quite a bit of “pro” things on there that normally require a lot of space.

I rather pay for storage then cloud storage ... I pay $0.99 for 50gb (iCloud) but I would prefer not to but oh well

I have my 100 gb of photos/videos on board on my 256 11 Pro, drives me nuts waiting for photos to come into focus with iCloud on my 64gb 11 iPad.

Well who said to store original quality photos on your phone ? I store them on my 512gb iPad and even then it’s only 11gb
