Two week patina on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. It’s very interesting to see how the leather ages and shows how you use and hold your phone! Saddle Brown.
Saddle Brown after 3 months. Loving the patina.
Is that sanded down and some sort of oil/balm used? Looks exactly like my first saddle brown case that I ruined with sand paper a few months back.
I don’t use any oils or anything. This is all natural, but I do see how it looks sanded down in the photo. Irl it looks more “oily” and not as “matte” (I guess you could say) than it does in the photo, as well as not as dark. The photo came out and it exaggerated the patina but it is definitely close to what it looks like irl. It also looks different in different lighting.
What case did you get as a gift?My Saddle Brown case at almost two months.

I got a new iPhone case for Christmas, so I'll be rocking that for a little bit and then will go back to the Saddle Brown.
I have a few gift cards. I may go get the Apple red leather case from Best Buy.
12 days in. Used a coat of smiths leather balm and left the case out in direct sunlight for about 6 hours. Thanks to @Tdosthp for the tip!

I figured this was worth sharing. To the left is my black leather case for my iPhone X. To the right is my black leather case for my iPhone 11 Pro. As some have said, Apple turned the black into a gray shade this time around. I personally think it looks fine but I do prefer the solid black look of the old leather cases. I wonder if this gray color will darken over time?
Also, it was really easy to choose the most color neutral case this time around, considering the ugly camera cutout. Previously, going with a blue, red, or orange leather case would work...but not with these camera cutouts showing the dark green phone I got lol. But hey, I'll take camera improvements any day to what color case I bought lololol.

It unfortunately turned brown on the corner edges - went and returned it for a full refund. Was a good idea to get it during the extended Holiday returns period to be safe.

I’m hoping the red case doesn’t do the same. Just bought it online at best buy and will be picking it up later today.
