It seems to me that some people have also said the iBook has a better video card the the current 12" Powerbook.[/B]


I don't think this is true... in fact, I think that the 12" PB's video card compares pretty favorably even with the 15" PB's video card (which is the Radeon 9000, an upgrade from the ibook's Radeon 7500).

From macspeedzone.com:

"The 12 inch PowerBook also has a different graphics card, the NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go. Our test showed a 16% to 30% performance improvement over the 15 inch PowerBook's ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 when playing demanding games."

i have such massive issues with this. someone is writing bad drivers on purpose. if you compare the GF4 440 Go with the radeon M9000 (with the same RAM) on a PC, the M9000 wins quite easily, not to mention what it'd beat the 420 by. Stupid marketing crap, why can't apple just write reasonable drivers?
