Coconut Battery, this only works in Mac OS.What app is that!
Definitely not a bug. Coconut battery shows that my XS Max has 3355 mAh capacity at Full charge, while the design capacity for the XS Max is 3174 mAh.It seems "Full Charge Capacity" > "Design Capacity" is the new norm on new iPhones.
Did Apple just underspec the battery so that people won't complain when the loose a few % making it still be report (above) 100%?
Or is that a bug in the coconut?

no drop yet.
Can you share the app, searched App Store, no luck. Thank you in advanced.
Cycles are cycles. Let the thing go to 5-10% occasionally.
Is discharging below 20% of the counter that's available actually deep discharging? It's one thing to prolong something to try to get the most out of it, even if essentially just marginally in typical use, it's another thing to say that something is actually damaging and makes things considerably worse.Cycles are NOT cycles. Lithium based batteries will degrade much quicker if discharged deeply <20%.

That's probably a better description of it. Now the bigger question there, as far as actual practicality goes, is how much of a difference does it make when it comes to occasionally going below 20% vs. always making sure that it doesn't happen. It causes accelerated wear beyond normal usage.
Based on that article a charged battery in the summer could be more stress on battery than low %.Cycles are NOT cycles. Lithium based batteries will degrade much quicker if discharged deeply <20%.

Doesn’t matter. Battery is battery regardless of the price of the phone. Stop draining it all the way since these type of batteries don’t like being fully drained.Ran mine down till it shut off this morning, as I have done with all my past iPhone models. Today I note battery health is down to 99%. Launch Day XS here. Probably not a big deal, but for a $1000 phone I kind of expected better.
This doesn’t look right. Seems too soon to be at ~97%.Charged always with the 5W adapter, never overnight, only until 85-90%, and never dropped below 30%...
