Should I jailbreak my iPhone 11 Pro Max and what are some of the coolest and most useful features?

I have been jailbreaking my iPhones starting from iOS 6 up to iOS 10. Never ever I have been stolen private data or money from my bank/creditcard/PayPal due to my jailbreaks.

As long as you stick with the trustworthy repos and tweaks/apps, you should be fine.

Do some research (checking the jailbreak subreddit is a very good start) before you install a tweak/app.

I am so glad, after years, I can customize my iPhone (11 Pro) the way I want to use it.
I mainly use jailbreak apps/tweaks that enlarge true productivity and some springboard layout tweaks.

I really want to jail break my iPhone just for fun. Just to play around. Add some tweaks and features.

But I don’t want to brick it or get my passwords stolen or hacked

Big price to pay if that happens

your passwords are safe, you won't get hacked at most they can do is copy uuid which literally every app developer can do if they need to link your device to the app like Google Authenticator app. You can get a soft brick but as long as you have a pc with itunes its a easy fix make sure to back up just in case.

Ok! I’m leaning towards doing it then.

I may delete my banking apps just for extra safety.

I don’t NEED them tbh although very convenient. I can always use my computer.

I’m not AS concerned about bricking. I think that would be rare bc so many people do jail break.

The fear or bricking wouldn’t stop me from exploring jail break, but my identity stolen etc is a real cause of concern just in general. Not saying that would happen bc of jail break but just in general

Gotcha. Is Cydia one of the safe ones?

Cydia is just the "app store" of jailbreaking, it handles installation of tweaks on your phone... By repo he means sources that house the actual tweaks and apps... There are some shady ones that provide pirated jailbreak tweaks.. I would stay away from those. Cydia comes pre-installed with a few of the most reputable ones.

I messed with it last night, all my banking apps are fine. I'm still using Cydia. I tried to use ReProvision to get out of the 7 day loop with Altstore but couldn't get it working.

Aside from that, I'm all good.

but just because your friends wife cheated on him doesn't mean everyone else wives will cheat now does it?
There are tons of exploits out there that compromise iphones that are not jailbroken.

Last time I themed my iPhone was somewhere around iOS 7 and 8...haha

My favorite jailbreak tweak atm is still that I can unlock my 11 Pro without swiping up from lockscreen.
In less than 0.3 seconds from waking up the screen to my homescreen

Does it not do auto unlock if there’s notifications? Seems like missing lock screen content would get frustrating.

In case of notifications, it will first show the notification on the lockscreen.
And then you go to the notification or swipe up to go to your homescreen

It's a bit difficult to get the background. I had to install two tweaks as the one to change the background didn't work properly until I downloaded another. BetterSettings didn't let me activate background image until I installed Horizon.

For the ReProvision thing go into troubleshooting (the icon in the middle) click manage certificates and delete one then try again. It’s been working for me.

There’s so many repos now compared to when I jailbroke back in the day. It’s easier to just google the tweak name with repo after it. I have like 20+ repos now versus only having like 8 when I last jailbroke on 8.3

What would be really nice would be someone going through and cleaning out all the obsolete, non-working packages from Cydia.

Edit: It is still a thing. Now that I’ve paid for it I have faith Apple with add something similar to iOS 14.

So far haven’t been able to really gauge battery life as I’ve been on my phone so much still downloading tweaks and looking at reddit LOL.

I don’t think so. That kind of thing happens every day, and is no different then people on the forum giving a stranger access to their phone, so he can help them add groovy new features to their phone. The people add apps to their phone without knowing what is going on, while hoping they will be safe using banking apps and other highly sensitive information.

People are asking for trouble, in my opinion.

How often have you been jailbroken? I have mostly been since 2009, and have never had any issues you describe.

I’m so jealous seeing y’all screenshots. I haven’t had a chance after work to jailbreak my iPhone. I’m an essential worker and working 10-12 hours a day. Hopefully I can do it on my 1 day off this week.
