Finally ordered mine! M2 Pro 12c/19gc, 32G, 1TB and 10Gbit ethernet for 2,170 swiss francs (around $2,300).
Finally opted for a 1TB storage because the upgrade to 2TB is just a crime. (~$490 !!!). Prefer to save the money for the monitor.
Have you decided which display to buy?

Ordered Mac Mini M2 Pro custom build on Jan 18th, got a notification that order was delayed from mid-Feb to mid-Mar. Not sure what part is causing the hold up, anyone seeing long delays like this?

My specifications are the following: 12c/19c GPU, 32GB Ram, 2TB Storage and 10gb Ethernet. I'm upgrading from a 2013 iMac =(

Anybody else think the m2 pro should have come with 10gb Ethernet port and maybe 32gb/1TB for $1,300 for the base model

Or to be conservative just the 10gb Ethernet included

Even if the ram upgrade to 32gb is $300, it would have already been considered to be on the pricey side😅

Yep. I placed my order Jan 31st for an M2Pro|16GB|1TB and my original delivery date was mid-Feb
This Monday I received an email delaying my order to March due to COVID.
Most likely being built/assembled in China and they are having major COVID issues atm

The M2 minis don't seem to be affected. 1-1.5 week earlier delivery here in the UK for BTO models compared to the M2 Pro mini.

Something is wrong for 713spacegladiator. I had the same config as both you guys — ordered Jan 26 and received Feb 6.

Very happy. The only minor annoyance compared to my outgoing 5k iMac is that the startup sound comes through the paltry Mac mini speaker and not the Apple Studio Display speakers.
Did you get in on the Costco $1299 deal? I kinda regret not jumping on that now. :(

Yes. I got the ASD for $1299 and for someone coming from a 5k iMac for the last 8+ years, it was an easy decision to pair that with the M2 Pro MM.

Now what to do with my old 2014 5k iMac???

I migrated to a similar setup and ended up selling my 2017 5k iMac to OWC's SellYourMac. I could have probably sold it for more privately, but they gave a decent offer and it's about 4x what Apple was offering, lol.

after a lot of deliberating, I ordered an M2 512G 24GB to replace my 2018 i5 8GB 256G. I do not do much photo editing or graphic work, but I do have A LOT of safari tabs open. I was having a lot of issues with trying to open espn.com and other websites that had a lot going on. I am hoping that this will be what I have looking for. It will arrive on 22 Feb so we will see.

I decided to send my order back. M2's are not optimised to run windows 7 programs
and they were taking 50% longer to do edit and encode using Parallels 18 than using
Parallels 18 in my Late Mac Mini 2012 intel machine

So I still decided to upgrade in a way to the late 2018 mac mini that is optimised for windows
programs in Parallels 18

I tried bootcamp but really I think using that you may as well get a windows pc

Parallels gives the coherence option two run the two systems at the same time
and for me that is the better option

I hope you all enjoy your new M2 mac mini's they are a fantastic machine super cool
very quiet and using low power - but for now I have to stick to intel mac mini

What encoding were you doing in x86_64 that you couldn't do in MacOS/ARM?
